Need some advice,

1. Me, a 19 y/o student, if I want to be protected, what should i buy? accident insurance, saving plan, or medical card?
Please explain to me the main difference between each of them, and the price range.
Definitely an all-in-one insurance plan(Investment Linked) is priority before considering others unless you already have high coverage by your parents. All in one includes  insurance coverage(death, tpd, accident) and hospital card smile.gif

2. I am thinking that i should get medical card to cover medical expense if any, while the other plans are perhaps better for me to sign up later when I am more capable of. Is it right? Hope someone can enlighten me with any idea.
Once you have your insurance settled, then you can consider other plans when you're more capable. Look at it this way; insurance for protection, savings/investments to for future purposes like retirement or to secure your future financially.

3. My mom bought an insurance for me but only for accident, 100k if death, seems pretty useless to me because if i die or forever be cripple, the 100k won't be mine to use anyway. Is there a better plan to cover sickness and accident together?
Like the all-in-one plan

Thanks!

For Life Insurance coverage, suicide after 1 year is covered.

For Accidental Insurance cover, suicide is forever NOT covered.

So kindly be clear on this.

Appreciate if any one can help with these questions:

1) Does a person needs medical and PA insurance if the company he/she works for provides both?

2) If a person has 36 CI insurance but passed away due to natural death, what will the insurance company pay the person?

3) What happens to an insurance payout if both the insurance owner and beneficiary pass away same time and no wills?
*
1) Personally I would buy a medical insurance plan myself while I am still healthy. Even though the company covers medical insurance, but you may leave the company one day, or until age 55 when you retire the medical cover is gone and that time your health condition could have changed to the worst, nobody knows what the future holds for our health.

2) If the 36 CI plan covers death benefit, then yes there will be claim, so 36 CI plan does not provide death cover, then there is no claim payable upon death on the CI plan itself.

3) Under the Presumptive Death principle, when the insured/ owner and nominee passed away simultaneously, it would presume that the older person will pass away first. However, in any circumstances, the insurance company can proceed to ask for the Grant of Letters of Administration (LA) (by Owner's estate or Nominee's Estate?) before they decide who to pay. So please ask the insurance company whose estate LA they need, it is tricky isn't it?

from what i read
medical expenses can only claim once but demise and disablement can claim multiple times is it correct?

QUOTE
Multiple coverage

If you have purchased more than one PA insurance policy, in the event of your demise or disablement, you or your beneficiary, as the case may be, will be compensated under each policy.

However, for certain expenses such as medical expenses which are compensated on reimbursement basis, you will only be compensated once

Read back your policy, simple only. Any insurance agent in Malaysia will tell minimal of what stated in policy especially in the exclusion part and under what condition your policy will deny your claim.

In the insurance brochure will state all the exclusion part already. Caveat emptor applies.

Any misleading in the brochure not tally with your policy content. Basically you can make a police report and sue the insurance company under advertising act.

It can turn out to be a misleading statement.

You cannot claim double for medical card.
You claim either one, and only from 2, if one of them is insufficient.
