how exactly do you get 100k FF for RM 525? Is it some PA loan that banks give then u pay back using CC?

hi, i just got the Ambank World Mastercard, wanted to register for the world mastercard spg gold promo but the spg website is asking for bank promo code. I called up ambank but they have no idea.

Anybody got the promo code?

U can only continue to get from them. The promo code is unique and can only be used once.

Hi, how do I get from them? Spent awhile on the phone with the customer service, doesn't seem to know anything, don't even know/heard of SPG.

I'm not familiar with ambank. But Ask them to transfer u to MasterCard concierge, as this promo is offered by MasterCard. U have much better chance than speaking to bank cso which in your case has no clue about it.

Hi since you guys travel alot. How about ground transfer, hotels? Does travel fair like matta fair offer cheap ground transfer.? And can anyone recommend app/website that offer itinerary for activities to do at country of your visit.

Try this:
RM100k split into 2x RM50k.
1st RM50k put into FD 6 months promotion (Maybank 4.28%) and after that roll under 1 month eGIA-i by Maybank (indicative profit rate 4.00%)
2nd RM50k roll under 1 month eGIA-i by Maybank (indicative profit rate 4.00%)

Calculation:
1) Assuming 15th March till 15th Sept 2016 (6mth) - 184 days earns you approximately RM1,078
2) rolling every month with 10k decrease for 1st 50K and 2nd 50K - approximately RM1,003

Total RM2,081 interest earned under such projection and able to offset 1.90% fee charged upfront and free miles. Which bank giving such offer eh? Good deal. Edited: Just saw it's UOB.

Here the mechanism:
1. Fill in the form with amount you need to cash out, must be within your credit limit.
2. Bank will credit the amount to your designated bank account in lump sum, assume 120k
3. First month, the bank will charge 10k + 1.90% processing fees to your credit card
4. 10k each month to your card for the next 11 months.

Every dollar cash out earn you one miles.

I had called and confirmed that this is a one times offer thing and every card member can only apply once.

If that's the case, it's a no brainer.. park the cash in 50% 6months high interest FD and balance in monthly rolling FD as mentioned by one of the sifu here. Should have enough to offset the interest charged..

However, i have a feeling there's a catch somewhere. Cos no way a bank would give out 100k unsecured loan at such low rate and expect no one to default.
Maybe they're expecting to earn from the CC interest which is 1.5% /month.

I called up Mastercard Concierge as you suggested, got the code within a minute.
However, I went to the spg site to register with the code and the first 6 digit of my World Mastercard, it says "already registered". Does that mean I cannot get Gold again? I got upgrade to gold with this world mastercard promo last year but now my gold status expired.
Or does it mean I just need to go and stay one night to get back gold?

Actually Maybank did a 0% balance transfer with 0 fees once upon a time, so I'm not surprised UOB is doing something similar, I'm guessing the 1.9% fees is just to cover their points/miles cost.

Too bad I don't have a UOB card, worth investigating otherwise.
