few years ago MH was partnering with MBB, came out enrich fast track thru applying MBB CC. those were
# MBB world master card with Enrich silver,
# MAS-AMEX co-brand charge card gold card (enrich silver), platinum card (enrich gold)

MAS-AMEX with enrich gold or silver
http://www.maybank.com/en/news-support/new...d=1358309585979

MBB world mastercard with enrich silver
http://www.maybank2u.com.my/WebBank/Experience_31%20Mar.pdf

however, those were the days.. all benefits now gone

Ya, those day even can access to private banking hall by credit card, no need to deposit 250k to become premier wealth customer

CC benefit keep diluting year by year, dont know when the 5x tp will be cancel or the exchange rate no more 4770-1k

Just do a research on flight from SIN-ICN
found out that Asia Miles Cathay surcharges is much cheaper compare to MAS

SIN-ICN Business class x2

MAS 187,000 Enrich miles + RM1743

Cathay 160,000 Asia miles + HKD1136(RM631)

Asia miles need less miles for redemption and also cheaper surcharges, but Cathay is one stop at HK while MAS is non stop flight.

Look like asia miles had higher value to price ratio

I have an option to cash out lump sum and pay it back with 12 months installment from my credit card for 1.90% processing fees, however every dollar cash out equivalent to one Krisflyer miles, after doing calculation, one Krisflyer equal to about RM0.057, and lump sum free to use for a year.

Is it a good deal?

What's your objective? Want to fly one of the longest flights in the world in SQ Suites and you have enough (~200k miles return)? You'll end up paying RM200k x 1.9% = RM3,800 + airport taxes and fees (RM3k?) ~ RM7k total.

Don't have enough points? Yes a KF mile may be RM0.057 but if you don't have enough miles or don't know what to do with it that's an opportunity cost not worth paying for.

Ask yourself what your objective is, and if you have enough miles to reach that objective. Miles are worth something only when redeemed (says yours truly with far too many points already  biggrin.gif )

Thinking of cash out about 100k and I earn 100k miles
Put that 100k into 3% FD for the first month
90k 3% at the second month, 10k go to monthly repayment
80k 3% at the third month .....etc

The interest pretty much cover back my 1.90% charges

I'm not sure how you do your calculation. RM100k x 1.9% = RM1,900 fees up front.

RM100k in FD for one month earning 3% annual interest = RM3,000/12 = RM250 only. If you take RM10k out each month, after 10 months I calculate that you earn only around RM1,375 from interest, far less than what you pay up front.

Personally though I would do it, paying RM 525 for 100k Krisflyer miles is worth it IMO. Which bank is offering this?

Receive a letter from UOB today
But I have to call them to verify a few thing before I go for it.

and how do you get points from this deal? make payment via credit card?
*
Here the mechanism:
1. Fill in the form with amount you need to cash out, must be within your credit limit.
2. Bank will credit the amount to your designated bank account in lump sum, assume 120k
3. First month, the bank will charge 10k + 1.90% processing fees to your credit card
4. 10k each month to your card for the next 11 months.

Every dollar cash out earn you one miles.

I had called and confirmed that this is a one times offer thing and every card member can only apply once.

Just managed to redeemed SIA Business saver SIN-SEOUL return for me and my gf.

However i realized SIN-SEOUL aircraft is Boeing 777-300ER with SIA new business class come with full flat bed but return flight is Airbus A330-300 which is old school business class seat. The different is huge from the picture sad.gif

Any way to see what is the aircraft for this flight before redeemed?

Realize enrich is not so user friendly compare to krissflyer when you want to check how much miles you need to redempt the flight.

Krissflyer will show you the miles and airport tax amount even though you do not have enough miles at the moment while enrich will block you to select by showing NOT ENOUGH MILES.

i just do a check, required 60k KF for SIN-TPE economy for 2 person

For enrich, the 28.4k is referring to one way for 2 person or one way for 1 person? total miles require for return will be 56.8k for 2 person? how can i check what is cash portion for TAX and airport surcharge on enrich if i do not have enough miles?

Thanks

I have booked SIN-PEK first class suites last year december and the travel date is this month november. one way 53k miles

due to the recent pandemic, i have called SIA today to ask for cancellation and they cancel my redemption and refund my 53k miles back to my account immediately, and refund airport tax back to my credit card.

the customer service mentioned by right there was a USD75 cancellation fees but they have decide to waived it.

thumb up thumbup.gif for SIA, really a smooth and straight forward cancellation process.
