How do you guys redeem enrich miles with other OW partners? So far from all my research the process is like:
1) Sign up FF member on each airlline to check their FF award seat availability on each individual site (ie, asia miles, JAL mileage bank etc).

2) if got availability, call enrich customer service to do the redemption. Endure an either 10 minute on hold or a promise for call back which only happens the next day (sometimes).

Is there any more efficient way to redeem other OW flights using enrich? Have to search each individual airline FF page is a pain... calling Enrich hotline is even more painful.

Hope sifus here can advise... i have some miles that i want to redeem to vancouver. so far i see CX and JAL flying there...

BA has the best "universal" Oneworld award search site. Use them to search for award availability- if it shows there it should (95%) be bookable.

In case anyone wants to try out Etihad's First Apartment, I see 6 empty first seats on Monday Feb 29th AUH-LHR for only ~66k Etihad guest miles one way.
*
How much would you pay for the EY First Apartments? I got a Plusgrade offer earlier this year for JFK-AUH around the sum of 1200USD to upgrade. Passed on it here- and I credit to Alitalia unfortunately.

Got a few itineraries that I'm not sure where to credit to...

CX CMB-HKG-EWR in Biz,
AA JFK-SFO in Economy,
BA KUL-LHR-LIS in Premium Econ.

For 2017 status, which would be the best to credit to?
American, British or Alaska?

AA and BA status would mean more miles/2 status years respectively, but Alaska also has its benefits if I get MVP 50k.

Not sure where you're based, Alaska only makes sense if you're US based due to their award terminating/origin rules. Even though there's the devaluation coming up, AA still gets my vote.
*
Okay, so AS is out (Couple months a year in the US but don't originate there)

Did my calculations here- with AA I'm barely touching Platinum (OW Sapphire), while with BA I'd reach Sapphire much faster and 70% to OW Emerald, which is pretty close and doable with another biz trip.

Do you think the status is worth the worse award chart?

You need to figure out your future plans, if you're planning more revenue flights in the future BA would make more sense given that you'd have status which gives you a leg up if you have future BA flights. Upgrading on BA from premium economy to business is reasonably easy with Avios miles from what I understand.

If you're planning more redemption flights, AA despite the devaluation to me makes more sense for me, partly because of the zone based redemption rather than distance based, partly because of their partnership with EY but again that's me.

I'm flying far less these days compared to before so most of my OneWorld flights used to go to AA. Now that I've burned almost all my AA miles though I have to figure out what I want to do in the future.
*
Yeah my biz travel is pretty flexible I'm not sure if it'll last a while. BA is also much easier to upgrade than on CX, and AA's PE plans aren't concrete yet.
Really like Delta as an airline but unfortunately Skyteam is too broken for ASEAN travel.

I'm not really sure what I want to do with ~60-80k miles honestly. Not particularly clamoring for biz seats here; grew up in steerage, still feels more familiar to me when I'm flying leisure.

QUOTE(raist86 @ Mar 4 2016, 04:38 PM)
Addition another transit point is kinda out of the question. Spending 20+ hours in the air is the maximum i can take. Not to mention the missus might slaughter me midflight.

Guess i'll have to keep my travel plans flexible and wait for last minute CX award space release. based on experience, do you think i'll be able to at least lock in my flight 3-4 months before the trip? I know usually mid week flights are more readily available.
*
Can you route KUL-LHR-YVR? Yes it's the long way round, yes it's lie-flat... and you'll be staring into the missus' face so you know when you're getting slaughtered biggrin.gif

I'd say your chances at CX J is better now because AA redemptions are inflated steeply that it's no longer the good deal it was. You'd have much better availability to LAX though, from my experience with searching.

CX awards are extremely tight right now since all the AA members are trying to burn through their stockpile of miles before the devaluation. Unless you're willing to wait till sub 2 weeks to book the award, might be safer to go with JL. I highly doubt CX will release anymore award space until its much closer to the flight.
*
It's still a long way to go to May '17; AA members can only book a year upfront so they can only book until March 2017 at pre-devaluation rates.

After this there's bound to be people changing travel plans, can't make trips and whatnot... so it's not as tied down as we all think it is.

Even searching for Jan-30-2017, i cant find F availability from DXB-KUL. I think Emirates is blocking/limiting the KUL route.

EK flies DXBKUL with high density, 2-class A380s.

Nope. I was referring to BA Club World long-haul and not the con-job Club Europe herc was referring to (which I've experienced and totally agree in that it's a rip-off). I really mean that BA's business class product is like premium economy on other airlines. I hated it that much (CW being the first truly flat J class seat notwithstanding). Hope that's clear and no one's "confused".  biggrin.gif
*
A bunch of points bloggers may keep repeating that but that's still patently untrue.
PE is like a toy compared to actual business class- you don't get any sleep in cradle recliners.

Now of course, if there's award availability in CX, QR or MH's 380... I wouldn't choose BA. smile.gif

Yeah I do see F once in awhile, but trying to save up my miles for that potential SQ F trip with the family. I'm down to my last 500k or so miles. 220k return on F is almost 2 people flying on PEY. biggrin.gif

Anyway I do see JL availability in PEY and sometimes J, might try my luck with some of the lesser knowns OW partners, Gulf Air or Finnair or just wait for CX last minute availability next weekend...
*
Have you tried ex-BKK? Close-in redemptions out of KUL really suffer because we don't really have the same volume as BKK/SIN...

Found J on BKK-HND/NRT-ORD + ORD-NRT-BKK on JL. 12th-17th.

Emirates is not in Oneworld but from Emirates website, it states that:
If I am going to Budapest using Emirates (the route is not serviced by MAS), how do I earn the miles in Enrich points? From Emirates booking website, it only shows Skyward points. Do I need to enroll with the Skyward program first before conversion?

If I am buying from Emirates Malaysia site, I should just use MYR and not change its currency, right?

Thank you

Cross-reference the %s in the Emirates table in this link and use with the second link:
1) http://www.malaysiaairlines.com/us/en/enri...r-airlines.html
2) http://www.webflyer.com/travel/mileage_cal...m&ticket_price=

If your journey starts in Malaysia it will be optimally priced in MYR.

CX availability is really dry on SFO-HKG. LAX is much more open in comparison- that's how I nabbed my F upgrade biggrin.gif

I suggest flying into LAS on BA even if the seats aren't the most luxurious (it does its purpose of lie-flat and decent rest). But the mile savings help. LAS-SFO-LAX on Virgin America (midweek departures are cheap), and then LAX-HKG... on CX.

Domestic TSA at SFO doesn't suck. Very civilized- unless you fly UA.

p.s. I would suggest against arriving into LAX. Customs at LAX-Bradley are pretty much the worst. Ironically it's one of the nicest terminals to depart from instead, with newly renovated fixtures and also the Qantas F lounge.
