I have SPG Gold from the World Mastercard promo and Hilton Gold from Visa Infinite. Both are going to expire soon. Does anybody know, once downgraded to silver, can we get gold again using the World Mastercard promo and Visa Infinite promo? Or is this upgrade only allowed once per account?

So looks like I have to register a new account and try to get the promo again with World Mastercard and Visa Infinite. Only managed 4-5 stays over the year.

hi, i just got the Ambank World Mastercard, wanted to register for the world mastercard spg gold promo but the spg website is asking for bank promo code. I called up ambank but they have no idea.

Anybody got the promo code?

Hi, how do I get from them? Spent awhile on the phone with the customer service, doesn't seem to know anything, don't even know/heard of SPG.

I called up Mastercard Concierge as you suggested, got the code within a minute.
However, I went to the spg site to register with the code and the first 6 digit of my World Mastercard, it says "already registered". Does that mean I cannot get Gold again? I got upgrade to gold with this world mastercard promo last year but now my gold status expired.
Or does it mean I just need to go and stay one night to get back gold?

Yeah, call mastercard concierge at this number 1800806429 (toll free). They will ask you for the first 10 digit of your card and then give you the 6 digit bank promo code. Its one time use only link to your card. If you have a supplementary card, got to get another code.

I haven't try the code though because using it with my current SPG account it produces error since I got the gold upgrade last year. Apparently each account can only get this promo once. Planning to start new account.

Is that for economy? For redemption its always more value to redeem business / first class.

The threshold for fee waiver is rm80k spent per annum. Thus you should aim to spend at least that much on your cards. If assuming roughly half spending on amex, half on visa, roughly should get 200k TP per year, that's about 40k+ miles. In 5 years or less you will get 200k miles.

Let's hope they continue it and the latest redemption info excluding AM is false. Another CRO says it will be removed that's why I'm worried.

If i'm not mistaken, airasia (and enrich now also like that), the points has a relatively fixed value. If ticket price goes up, points needed goes up. But if you are lucky and can grab the airasia fixed points routes on discount (I think got the promo a couple of weeks back, eg (5000 BIG points for a KUL-DMK flight).
The fixed value is the reason enrich devaluation is so terrible.

Why would it be too young? Miles are meant to be spent. I happily pay 208k KF per pax/way, kid sleep with mum, I sleep own bed, makan another seat, since we were the only ones in the whole cabin.
A wise person said before, life is about experiences.

Learning from the sifus here and continuing to learn....still noob....but i remember lesson from sifus, miles meant to be spent.
