QUOTE(bearbear @ Jul 19 2017, 12:44 AM) of my 2 years following KF, the only constant promo are the short haul with Silkair where it is 50% off. Last round ended just last week and I believe it is a yearly affair. Last promo that involve SQ was back in Nov 2016, 30% off for economy & premium economy. short haul will not be attractive because of the layover in Singapore

Just managed to redeemed SIA Business saver SIN-SEOUL return for me and my gf. However i realized SIN-SEOUL aircraft is Boeing 777-300ER with SIA new business class come with full flat bed but return flight is Airbus A330-300 which is old school business class seat. The different is huge from the picture Any way to see what is the aircraft for this flight before redeemed?

I've a question regarding oneworld lifetime status. Is anyone chasing it? 2 of the airline that have ruby and sapphire are AA and QF. QF's website has information about points and status credit for every routes but I can't find the same for AA. Am I missing something?

Out of the 4 daily SIA operated flights between SIN and ICN, only one flight is operated by the B777-300ER (this plane continues to Los Angeles hence the deployment of this type of aircraft). The rest are all operated by A330-300E.

Hi guys, I am new to Krisflyer, having just joined in 2016. Due to their infamous redemption seats unavailability (from what I learned here), is it possible to book way in advance without the full points required? This will allow me to accumulate over the next months and will make a lot of difference. Thanks for your advice sifus!

Don't think so, they maximum hold your ticket for one or two weeks for you to transfer point from partner, after that they will release the seat for others

Any advantage in doing it online? Will there be a discount in points for online redemption?

If you want on hold ticket, need to go though call centre, usually they will hold one week. No discount for online redemption, so basically it is the same.

Got a trip coming up to the states... my tri annual thingy. Have a choice between Emirates or Enrich points... Really... a comparison of which is worst... cause both are shit. I end up choosing Enrich.... ANyone disagree or thinks Emirate's points actually have better utility/value compared to the equally shitty Enrich?

Hi guys, sorry for being too lazy to read through the whole thread, but if I wanna know which credit cards in malaysia are best for collecting miles, I guess this is not the right thread?
Seems like the discussion here is more for FFP / airline comparisons?

This thread was created because the mods found the discussions of FFP/airlines "out of topic" under the credit card threads.
