for booking.com? none of it useful lol... because you will only swipe your cc during your stay at the hotel. now they just use your cc to guarantee your room only. they will only charge to your cc if you did not turn up on that day.

like what victory said. have to pay to the hotel upon check in.

I see. Got it. Then, hopefully my card can be accepted there. doh.gif
It is an isolated place in China. God bless me that time.

Then, how would Shopback know if I did stay there or not? Let's say if they can't accept card, I'm going to pay with cash.

when you stay there, the hotel will update to booking.com because booking.com get their commission from the hotel. if they are linked to booking.com, you can almost fully sure that the hotel will have a cc terminal.

Guys, any credit card I can leverage with booking.com? I have both UOB VOX and CIMB CR which I supposed I will get 5% cash back for online transaction.

How about cards from other banks?

I also have Maybank, HLB, OCBC, AmBank, AEON and Citibank cards. Any promos?

I'll use it with Shopback to get RM 60 but would like to maximize it. laugh.gif

Well, having a CC terminal is one thing and if it is working for overseas cards, that's another thing...
My card was denied in Chengdu and Chongqing, only usable when I was in Beijing.

Now this place which I'm going is far more less developed compared to the developing Chengdu and Chongqing... sweat.gif

always cross check with milkadeal. sometimes either one offering higher rebate than the other, although usually they offer the same.

I notice that most general purpose card lately (excluding VS cards) are mostly tier-ed type cb % now. No card that gives a flat % cb like OCBC Ti or Watami anymore. Using this tier-ed type card can sometimes be quite a balancing act. Charged too much ur cb % goes down, charge not enough n u wont hit the targeted cb %

Sigh.

yes, certain promo only targeted for visa or mastercard.

as long as each of the card benefits you and you earn from it.

I think partly could be due to the card vendors could not catch up with such a surge in fortune to produce millions of cards for all the banks.

A few of my iFriends messaged me at Facebook yesterday and today to highlight that Maybank will be downgrading their credit cards’ benefits once again Effective 15th April 2016!!!

All Maybank credit cards are effected - Gold, Platinum and Premium EXCEPT for Maybank KrisFlyer AMEX.

Click the link below to find out the latest revision to Treats Points which will come into effect on 15 April 2016 and what credit cards you should use to replace your Maybank credit cards for transactions relating to Government, Insurance, Utilities, Education and even PTPTN:

Hi guys 12 am today i used my credit card to purchase a game item worth 86 euros. I received the notification from Maybank that i was charged 86 euros. But the staff of the game website told me that it was not accepted and they issued a refund. And they told me it would take a very very long time, could be more than a month.I'm just scared if Maybank doesnt notice the refund, or there are problems with the refund.. I dont know what to do right now. What should I do? Who should i call? I used my visa debit card from maybank.

I received the email from the website : We are sorry, but your transaction has been declined by our security system.

PTPTN still cannot be paid via Government site, I have tried several time and even contacted their Administrator, no definite time it will be fixed.
