Hi, want to ask:
1) I am having a credit card which its anniversary is on June this year. I am planning to cut the credit card in order to get rid of the hard to waive annual fee. When is the best timing to cancel the card in order to get rid of being charge annual fee?
2) If annual fee is charged, as long as I do not use the card after being charged annual fee, is my request later for waiver of annual fee definetly be entertained or subject to bank's decision?
Thanks
*
(1) If you are already planning to cut, then anytime will do. Make sure that you do not use the card after the AF is charged or you will have to pay even though you cancel it.
(2) Still subject to bank discretion.

can you really swipe more than your credit limit if you debit your credit card with cash beforehand?

for example:
limit 1k, debit 500 cash. the max you can swipe is it still 1k or 1.5k now?

someone argue this is possible but i have doubts

Yes, it works can swipe for 1.5k provided you have no outstanding payment beforehand.

Can work.

Last time i travel for business, had to use my own credit card that only have CL of 5k when the hotel rental itself is more than that.
I also deposited a few Ks to allow me to use the card for more than 5K without problem.

2. alliance younique for 1 - 1.67% if your monthly spend is 1.5k - 3k include that insurance monthly premium
3. Ocbc GE platinum for 1% in first 1k spend
4. Hong leong essential for 0.6% first 5k spend

if you do not plan to have any other spending on the card except insurance.
since only 2 in your month got higher spend of 5k and 2k
you can get Alliance Younique
for rm200, can get rm1 (0.5%)
during 5.2k charge, can get rm5(0.5%) + rm15 (1.5%) + rm30(3%) + rm6.6(0.3%) = rm56.6
during 2.2k charge, can get rm5(0.5%) + rm15 (1.5%) + rm6(3%) = rm26
in a year, you get rm1*10 + rm56.6 +rm26 = 92.6 for insurance premium

while for ocbc GE
if charge only rm200, can get rm2 (1%)
during 5.2k charge, can get rm10(1%) + rm21 (0.5%)= rm31
during 2.2k charge, can get rm10(1%) + rm6(0.5%) = rm16
in a year, you get rm2*10 + rm31 +rm16 = 67 for insurance premium

Hi, Im a fresh grad, if I wanna apply for a credit card, how many months of bank statement/payment slip/EPF statement I need to provide? Given that I wanna apply for the RM24k per annum card.

Do I have to only provide 1 of the above 3 mentioned statement?

According to some card sales agent, EPF of 6 months or above is adequate. However, if you supply 3 months latest payslips, it will strengthen your application. Bank statement is not required.

Make sure you submit at least the minimum documents required, this info is usually found at the website or at the application form. anything further will strengthen your application.

1) standard bank practice won't tell you the reason.

2) should be based on before deduction, not after.

3) no harm trying.

(2) Can't say. Only the card approval dept knows.

(3) If you have access to card center, try walk in to apply.
