Off-topic : Guys like you really means a lot in this community. Thanks for your sharing. Sorry for this useless post, but I really feel like thanking you.
Btw, change my mind from want to apply HLB Essential to applied HLB Wise Gold. After calculated everything, it is quite impossible for me to swipe 10x per month and get the cash back. Regret my decision, should I call CS and inform that I want to change?

HI, you can try to retract and void your application. If it is too late for that, you can request to terminate it later on too.

Make sure you use cards which give benefits for groceries category and if you are going to do this for long term, apply a membership card for only RM 12 lifetime and get RM 10 voucher. RM 1 = 1 point, 1000 points can exchange for one RM 10 voucher but voucher cannot be used to pay bills and reload TnG. Apply first before doing any transactions.

I contacted one of the bank, asking what happens when merchants in Europe asked for 4 digits pin while ours is in 6 digits. Answer, we can ask the merchant to bypass pin and use signature instead.

Add:
Another bank replied that the terminal in Eu will still able to accept the 6-digit as terminals are programmed to accept PIN with 4 to 12 digit

a suggestion, since you hv ocbc cc, ocbc bill (loan(s), cc), assume u will be transferring at least rm500 to ur ocbc account every month to pay the housing loan..

why not u take advantage of the OCBC 360 saving account which gv u 4.1% pa interest..

OCBC 360 requirement to get 4.1% pa:
0.5% based rate,
+ 1.2% bonus interest if you transfer minimum rm500 to OCBC 360 account,
+ 1.2% bonus interest if you make 3 bill payments in a month from OCBC 360 account
+ 1.2% bonus interest if you spend rm500 on your cc

= 4.1%

so not a bad reason for you to use ur OCBC cc

btw, I found that OCBC do not hv instant fund transfer option available, only GIRO

Hi All,

Any credit card that is easy on Foreigner application? I have a valid working visa good for 2 years, and I'm a CIMB debit card holder. Anyone knows the process for applying credit card in CIMB / others for freigners/Non-malaysians?

Thanks

Foreigners in my office always apply for Maybank credit cards. Just need an employment confirmation letter from employer, of course 3 months payslip, work permit and passport to apply. I haven't seen any rejection yet, from Plat, Visa Signature to M2Premier Cards. The credit limit is usually very close to your monthly basic salary with the ratio 1:1.

May require for Public Bank and if other banks you will need to submit. Which card do you intend to apply?
