I just got my CCRIS report in January and there is no PTPTN mentioned there.
Probably I will go and print again soon to see if it is there.

Well, sometimes no credit history with banks is also another reason to be rejected.
Probably try applying from your salary crediting back as a start.

Got my ccris.
So now ctos also got ccris record. Is there any different for it to cost rm10 while ccris is free ?
*
Besides the ccris report, they rate u by giving credit score like usa, they collect ur credit info via various source, including whether u r bankrupt, in any lawsuit, u hold/held any director position in any company, ur residential address history, any party check ur finantial info n etc..

and and and..convinient for ppl like myself tat cant/hard/lazy to go to bnm to get the free ccris report..or wan to get the report as soon as posible..u can view ur report, depends on what time and from which provider u request the report from, either instantly, in an hour to few hours time or the next working day from their web portal or ur email account.. smile.gif

Are you new to credit cards?
If yes, then you probably want to keep these cards and build up your credit histories for a year or so before apply other credit cards.
*
if u want to apply cards from the same bank, better u apply new first then only cancel existing..
if apply other bank, this card should not affect your chances of getting other card, provided that your income is high enough as per card requirement

Thank you very much.
I will keep my citibank until 3months i get the luggage. will cut reward cards.
Will keep OCBC titanium since it free. Need to use online facility due to i have house loan with OCBC.
*
a suggestion, since you hv ocbc cc, ocbc bill (loan(s), cc), assume u will be transferring at least rm500 to ur ocbc account every month to pay the housing loan..

why not u take advantage of the OCBC 360 saving account which gv u 4.1% pa interest..

OCBC 360 requirement to get 4.1% pa:
0.5% based rate,
+ 1.2% bonus interest if you transfer minimum rm500 to OCBC 360 account,
+ 1.2% bonus interest if you make 3 bill payments in a month from OCBC 360 account
+ 1.2% bonus interest if you spend rm500 on your cc

= 4.1%

so not a bad reason for you to use ur OCBC cc

btw, I found that OCBC do not hv instant fund transfer option available, only GIRO

do I need to call bank if I'm going to use my CC oversea?
*
before my previous vacation to Hong Kong, I called to inform Citibank, the CS told me actually I dont need to call Citibank unless I am travelling to one of the 3 countries, which is: US, Canada, and erm...i forgot...lol

first time heard CS told me like that rclxub.gif rclxub.gif

Whereas other banks happily get informed

dont care, next time I will still call

the only country, I will not call any CS, if I travel to, is....Singapore...

*
go to the PTPTN branch, now they hv branches that are located in shopping mall, especially Giant, u can use CC to pay there.

once again, if you found anyway we can pay PTPTN online, please do inform us..thank you

Will do. Thing is, direct transaction with PTPTN will not be eligible for rebates / goodies. Not anymore with Maybank and I don't think CIMB will too. And so, the quest for loan rebates continues. Hopefully we find some ways before I finish paying in 4 years  biggrin.gif
*
well, u get 0.1% rebate for using OCBC Titanium if you pay your PTPTN with it....lollll rclxs0.gif whistling.gif

well, step:
1. u go open OCBC 360 account,
2. every month u transfer minimum RM500 to that account
3. every month u make 3 bill payments, including OCBC credit card bill, OCBC loan bills, and those astro bill, utilities bills and whatever bill that can pay on OCBC internet banking, from OCBC 360 account
4. spend min RM500 on ur OCBC credit card..

then u will get 4.1% pa interest on your OCBC 360 account
step 1, entitle u base interest rate of 0.5% pa
2. entitles u 1.2%pa bonus interest,
3. entitles u 1.2%pa bonus interest,
4. entitles u 1.2%pa bonus interest

thats the reason I pull out my OCBC Titanium from deep freezer last month..and I use it to pay PTPTN...after I open the account and since I already hv loan bills with OCBC..instead of finding rebates, I find more interests..

Hi to all credit card sifu here. I have question to ask I've recently got my credit card from CIMB but I'm quite reluctant to use it because I'm not completely master on this card and worse comes to worse if I don't use it properly you can get bankrupt. Main question here if I bought let's say for example a laptop cost 4k and shop offer 0 interest with credit card with the payment of rm333 every month in 1 year. Can I pay more than 333 and settle my debt with using credit card as soon as possible or I cannot I have to keep on paying rm333 for 1 whole year. Can someone help me clarify with this?
*
it will charge you rm333 per month for the whole year..

it will not reduce the amount or the tenure if you pay more..

you can pay more this month, it will treat it as advance payment, and then will deduct it when next payment cycle come..

it is like hire purchase (car loan), not like housing loan..

if you make advance purchase, make sure u do not use the cc for other purchases, or else the advance payment will become payment for those extra purchases, meaning if you pay 4000 in 1 shot to the credit card, make sure dont use the card for other purchase, otherwise part of the 4000 will become the payment of your other purchase..

if this month you pay 433, next month u still need to pay 233, understand?

The reason is.  I have 4 bank account , and I would like to make it two only .
I think my maybank is no longer need to use it any more , so I would like to just close it and deactivate my visa debit @.@
My account is more than a year and the visa debit is more than a year too, so there should be no any charge right If I close and deactivate my visa debit ?
*
just keep it, you may not know when you need it, i also hv more than 4 banks accounts
