30 years old but just got my first ever CC PETRONAS Maybank Visa from maybank

I try to call maybank to get my temporary pin but they could not find my information in system.

They told me I can start use the card but could not get the temporary pin at the moment

Why do you need the temporary PIN for now?

I thought now using 6pin?

Mine is already PIN & PAY card but weird thing is in their system dont have my info

Read the letter that comes with the card to see if there is any instruction on how to set the 6 digits

Same thing happen to me today when I swipe my MBB Ikhwan for the first time after received it few days ago. If the CC Machine is updated(Pin&Pay update/system), it will request for 6digits pin, so I tried 123456, and transaction rejected. Call MBB CS to ask for temporary Pin Number, and at the same time trying to swipe the card for the second time, this time when machine asking for Pin, I just press enter without key in any Pin, and transaction get through.

So I guess, as long as you haven't set pin in your CC, just proceed without entering it when swiping the card.

The letter said need login maybank2u to set or call center to get the temporary pin.
I call center, they could not find my card number but maybank card centre inform me my card can start use already.
Need me to call them back to get the pin some other time.

Even if you have it, most of the merchants still not ready. I haven't tried entering PIN using my PIN & Pay cards yet, all still sign for now even I have PIN enabled already.

Proceed without entering the pin code will do. As my post above. You can request temporary 6digit pin from Maybank CS, but you need to change it at ATM machine on the same day before you can use your card with the Pin code. Else, just proceed without any pin.

Ya, but have you try it on the Pin&Pay ready machine? I think you must enter the Pin if you have enable the Pin & Pay things. Not sure though.

By the way, how do you manage your card payment if you have too much cards? List down all the card billing/due date? Need to discipline myslef, been paying a lot of interest although the spending amount is quite low.

I went to the counter today, the only way to have Maybank2u if you don't have any other account with Maybank. Sadly they said system to apply for M2U is down today, whole Malaysia, not sure what time available, and ask me to come back tomorrow.

I'm not sure because they still print slip and ask me to sign.

I know all the due date well, use Excel to track spending and use Outlook calendar to remind payments. So far, all well, not even charged with any interest yet. You need to, else it will affect your credit history too.
