Foreigners in my office always apply for Maybank credit cards. Just need an employment confirmation letter from employer, of course 3 months payslip, work permit and passport to apply. I haven't seen any rejection yet, from Plat, Visa Signature to M2Premier Cards. The credit limit is usually very close to your monthly basic salary with the ratio 1:1.
May require for Public Bank and if other banks you will need to submit. Which card do you intend to apply?

don't blame PTPTN, you borrow from them, you pay them back. as simple as that. must well blame yourself why borrow money from them?

simple, go to PTPTN, pay something first. then get a "loan restructuring letter" and apply for your credit card/loan.

you need to serve your car loan nicely as well. otherwise, you may be stuck during housing loan in future.

I see, OCBC is known for stinginess when it comes to AF waiver. You may want to take note of this.

Trying to apply some credit card but kept being reject. Uob, Maybank and Stan Chart. Only have public bank because of housing loan hence they give the credit card together with the loan. Wonder why keep being reject?

Never check. But I pay my loan and credit card on time every month.

I don't know, I don't have issues with most of the banks and they approved my applications with no hassle. For Maybank, I was offered by them. Probably you can try CIMB, UOB, Citibank?
