QUOTE(Anonjobseeker2809 @ Sep 17 2017, 04:04 PM) Hi, I went for ey interview last week. At the end of the interview, my interviewer did talk about the position they will offer me and also asked about salary expectation. Does this mean that my chance of getting the offer is high? I'm confused. :/ Usually how long will I know whether I'm accepted or rejected after the interview? Hi, I just received an email for me to complete the online assessment. If I pass then I would have a face to face interview at EY. Do you mind sharing your experience? Was the test hard? and how was the interview for you? Thank you. Means a lot!

QUOTE(PurpleGrenade @ Aug 17 2017, 10:02 PM) Nope. Its EY. Thanks. I'm still trying! Hi, I just received an email today to complete the online assessment from EY. Could you elaborate further about the test? Is it like a personality test or is it more of like an IQ test? Thank you!

QUOTE(Meowmeowee @ Oct 26 2017, 12:30 AM) Btw, anyone know any tips for deloitte online assessment? Couldn't find much info online It is quite hard for me but I passed it. I believe that they gave you an hour to finish it. It's more of a reasoning test and there's some maths questions as well. And at the end of the question, you are required to write an essay based on what the question asks. Good luck!

QUOTE(snowflakesaway @ Oct 27 2017, 07:31 PM) congrats! would you mind telling when did you apply? just want to see how long should i wait I applied through an employee referral on the 5th of October 2017. The HR team gave me a call the next day on the 6th to ask about myself. As I was driving, I asked her if she could give me a call on Monday (9th of October). I then received an email to complete the online assessment two weeks later (24th of October 2017). They then called me on the 3rd of November inviting me for a face to face interview at EY with the senior manager which was scheduled on Saturday (4th of November). Hope this helps you! I’m now waiting if I would get accepted or not. So crossing fingers!

QUOTE(Sasuke95 @ Nov 4 2017, 01:04 PM) The phone and f2f interview for ey are so stressful and invasive. It is not easy to finish all acca papers, as well as getting a 2nd upper in degree, i failed just once in acca and twice in degree. Yet all their questions revolving around why I failed. How am I supposed to know? The important thing is that I made it at the end despite the rocky path of my studying life. It is like asking "why you're a boy?", I just answered vaguely saying I have personal problems that time, and they want me to disclose. They also want me to disclose what offers do I have currently, dig very deep. At the end got rejected, more or less I know the outcome already as I don't really know how to answer the interview questions. Just wondering don't they need people for the peak period? Have to be really picky to choose? Did you have your interview with one of the partners? I just had my interview at EY last saturday. Thank god it was not that stressful and there wasnt any technical questions asked. I felt like it was more of a chit chat session to get to know more about me and if I could really tahan working in audit. It lasted for more than an hour. I’m just really hoping that I’d get the job. May I know when did you find out about the results after the interview? Like how long did you have to wait? Thank you!

QUOTE(kanikani @ Nov 14 2017, 08:40 AM) thank you so much! guess i’ll be busy the next few days doing my research then another question to ask - with big companies like the big4, is am i suppose to nego my salary even at entry level? (if i’m asked during interview)? for some reason i thought i wouldnt need to since i’m just a fresh grad/entry level but a few friends brought it up when we had dinner yesterdy. they were always asked by the managers during the knterview (they applied to banks) but i havent heard anything bout the big4. maybe it’s at the contract offer stage? or is it non-nego? someone suggested to throw a higher rate out (lets say 3k if you wanted 2.8k) since they would lower whatever you suggested anyway. i was told that the current rate is min 2.8-3 for entry level at big4. any suggestions on how to go anout this if i’m asked during interview? i honestly dont mind 2.8k just that if you can nego for higher why not? I recently got a job offer at EY and they are offering me RM3.1k inclusive of allowance. The salary at EY should be around there for everyone I think? I had an interview with the senior manager and he didn’t ask for salary or anything and even my friend wasn’t asked. Maybe it’s best to not ask? Not so sure though. Good luck with your interview!

Well if they do ask you, you should then put at least RM3k because that’s the current salary at big 4 I think hehe. I know that Deloitte offers RM3k & my friend at KPMG got offered RM2800. So RM3k should be reasonable. They do have a section in the form later that you need to fill stating “Expected salary.” This post has been edited by sheyhere: Nov 14 2017, 10:05 AM

QUOTE(kanikani @ Nov 14 2017, 10:45 AM) okay got it thanks ya oh, and was the interview very hard? i just finished the personality test and she told me that subject to passing that she might be able to arrange an interview for me this week since i told her i'm in kl atm (i'm staying in my hometown now) so i'm rushing to do my research i think i'm quite lucky if i can get into EY because i was told it's for the december intake Which division are you applying to? Audit? It was more of a chit chat session to me. The senior manager was really nice and he genuinely wanted to know me more as a person. If you’re applying into audit, he wants you to know what you’re getting yourself into (long hours / deadlines). And he also wanted to know what do you want to achieve by working in audit & EY because he said there are so many people who went to that interview unprepared and only applied because by working in audit / EY because they believe that it’s a good career path and because EY is one of the big 4 etc etc. The interview lasted for more than an hour for me. I read on glassdoors that if it lasts more than an hour, then it’s a good sign haha. But just read the questions that people post on glassdoors and you should be fine I think. Best of luck!

QUOTE(kanikani @ Nov 15 2017, 04:00 PM) yep audit, thanks for the info i’d finish the online test yeaterday and so i’m waiting for a call as to whether i wil get the interview or not.. so nerve-wrecking really is it possible to fail ey’s personality test and would you be informed? I’m not sure as I probably didn’t fail it cause I got the invitation for an interview. It took me a week after I finished my online assessment to get a call from them. I got a call on Fri and the interview was on Sat.

Hi guys,
I read this thread from page 1 till the latest one but couldn’t find any infos that I’m curious about. Would anyone currently working at EY kindly share about the 4 different industries (DTC, FS, HPI & NRG) . Like is there a better industry to be in compared to the others?
I got accepted into DTC. Hows the working environment, the people and the working life?
Thank you so much x

Hi guys, I need help.
I'm currently an A2 in audit at EY. As you all are aware, EY has set some requirements before we can get promoted to seniors (i.e. we need to pass certain number of papers).
I only started taking my papers when I was an A2 because it took the HR nearly 6 months before they could approve when I wanted to change from ICAEW to MICPA (despite being constantly chased by me). The current situation now is that I need to sit for this one paper in December before I can get promoted to senior but EY is not allowing me to take the paper due to the rule that we're only allowed to sit for 2 sittings per year. I took one exam in April 2019 and taking another one in September 2019.
As such, if I don't sit for this exam in December, I can only sit for the next sitting which is in April 2020, and my results would come out in May 2020 and thus, I would only get promoted in June 2020 instead of getting promoted in Jan 2020 if I sit for the exam in Dec 2019. This has stressed me out so much. I am really thinking of leaving EY at the moment. Does other big 4 have these policies? And should I want to join the other big 4, should I apply as an A2 or I should apply for senior role?
Thanks so much for your advise! x

QUOTE(BravoZeroTwo @ Aug 20 2019, 01:34 PM) Why did you decide to change course ? How many papers have you passed in ICAEW ? I have not started any papers yet when I decided to change. I changed cause I have 11 papers left for ICAEW in comparison to 8 for MICPA.
