Agent submitted my EOI after Engineers Australia finally approved my skills assessment. Bad news is my nominated occupation has reached its ceiling and need to wait until July 2016 for new quota for 2016-2017 program. Even worse news is that visa fees will be reviewed in July and most likely will increase. Fingers crossed I dont have to wait to long to receive an invitation

What are the documents you prepared for the Engineer Australia Assessment ? I'm preparing for assessment now and wanna take some precautions. >.<

If the husband is in SOL, he can try apply for PR and once PR is approved, he can bring wife/partner over and wife could look for job as any other ppl as she would also have working rights.

When applying PR, ask the husband to include wife as dependent and not the wife to apply separately.

Others can correct me if I'm wrong cos that's what I'm currently trying to do

Thanks for the reply, because as I know Macao PR does not allow the wife to work or I'm wrong.

IT industry. My agent (relative) says I got 60 and its sufficient but would like me to sit IELTS as a safety net and increase the chances.

I'm still trying to network with my ex colleges to see if I can directly apply there and get the visa sponsored too.
*
not to disrespect to our so called agents, what's your IELTS requirement for IT?
If it's 6 then just tembak. If it's 7 then work hard. If it's 8 double whammy, 9 well need work kaw2

your hubby can be primary applicant while you just need to submit your academic qualifications to prove your education background is inggeris....i mean english lol...otherwise IELTS band 5. IELTS just turn up to be bloodsucking mechanism! you can grab local Ozzie to take band 7, i guarantee you their result even worst.
he can include your name, kids under his application but paying fees on each person which is couple of hundreds each. during my time, i only pay 1 applicant fees to include all but now Oz just wanna suck blood. once approved, congratulation, each individual have their unique reference number represent their visa status.

banker experience? which expertise? banking industries here is good if you manage to drown into but they're tighten their belt. many my mates made redundant.... shakehead.gif

Hahaha. Truth is, my results when I took Academics the first time was 7 all band (again, writing 7 and conversation was 7.5). So when that one expired, I thought to myself the same thing. "If I can get 7 average taking academic, I should be able to get same or better taking general" was my thinking. Oh boy was I wrong. And I tried again in March, also 6.5 for writing in General.

I don't have money to pay exam fee also weh. How you want me to pay someone at the same time? LoL

Was thinking of taking a computerized exam since everything is typed, so no extra marks more nice handwriting and vice versa.

probably this would help.
https://www.acs.org.au/migration-skills-ass...here-do-i-start
https://www.acs.org.au/__data/assets/pdf_fi...-Applicants.pdf

it says there's no IELTS requirement for skill assessment. probably would refer to the migration requirement which at least band 6

Hi all, I am a law graduate from UK (but don't really wan to practise) and wanted to settle in Aussie, but I am not sure whether I could find a job there and/or employers there would want to hire such person like me.

While for applying working visa, I have looked through all posts above and I am still in doubt that whether I could obtain the points as required by the visa. Anyone here can guide me through, it would be highly appreciated.

Thanks!

if you get state sponsorship, that's another 5 points tongue.gif

skilled employment points depends on the assessment body, can't comment much since we are from different fields

agents i don't know any, other forumers maybe can recommend smile.gif
