QUOTE(kenji1903 @ Jul 13 2016, 10:46 AM) IT industry. My agent (relative) says I got 60 and its sufficient but would like me to sit IELTS as a safety net and increase the chances.I'm still trying to network with my ex colleges to see if I can directly apply there and get the visa sponsored too. |

QUOTE(milky85 @ Jul 13 2016, 05:05 PM) anybody have any experience or can advise IF the husband job is in SOL while the wife is not. Any possibilities the wife work in Aus e.g. banker experience? If the husband is in SOL, he can try apply for PR and once PR is approved, he can bring wife/partner over and wife could look for job as any other ppl as she would also have working rights. When applying PR, ask the husband to include wife as dependent and not the wife to apply separately. Others can correct me if I'm wrong cos that's what I'm currently trying to do |

QUOTE(Nemesis1980 @ Jul 14 2016, 10:13 AM) probably this would help. Ah thanks for the link. Greatly appreciated.https://www.acs.org.au/migration-skills-ass...here-do-i-start https://www.acs.org.au/__data/assets/pdf_fi...-Applicants.pdf it says there's no IELTS requirement for skill assessment. probably would refer to the migration requirement which at least band 6 |

I got an overall 7 without any study which I regret a little. Got a 7 for speaking and 9 for reading. Both writing and listening got 6.5. Topic for writing caught me a little as I've spent some precious time thinking what to write and ended up insufficient.
Just to check, do we really need to have a JD for employer reference? Any techniques to get it from my current employer without raising any alarms lol |

For mine, I've just given HR a template for my roles and responsibilities in the company together with the position title. They figured out who to ask and came back with a stamped original copy.
