hey everyone, I'm planning to submit my application in 2 to 3 months time and I have a question. Can I still enter Australia under Tourist Visa after I submitted the application? Will it complicate things and affect the processing time for my application? Thanks! notworthy.gif

Hey guys, how come my migration agent told me that I must score a minimum Band 7 in all components of the IELTS test when the DIBP website states that an average score of Band 7 qualifies for 10 points? Anyone of you have come across this unusual criteria?

I think your case is that your points collection require you to score all Band 7, in order to get that 10 points you mentioned, for your total points to be enough for EOI, which is at least 60 points.
*
Oh...I've always assumed that even if I didn't do that well in Speaking and Writing Test, the other two components will at least bump up my average score to Band 7. Well, hopefully I didn't do too badly in my Speaking test a while ago!

I like to believe that, the requirement for all Band 7 means for all four test components, your scores have to hit 7.0 or above, and it's not by looking at the average score.  Getting four 7.0 barulah you get that 10 points.

Correct me if I'm wrong, and when can you get your results?
*
I guess the migration agent knows the requirements better than me. Maybe I misunderstood the Language Requirement section in the website heh... Did your agent tell you that you must score min Band 7 for all components to qualify for 10 points?

I'm going to sit for the other 3 components this Saturday, so I should get my result around 26th December.

Yeap.

You must see at least empat ekor 7.0 on your test report form, if you need that 10 points.
*
At least this empat ekor is easier to strike than the other type! Fingers crossed, everything will go according to the plan.

Hi, anyone in this forum is a registered engineer with the Board Of Engineers Malaysia (BEM)? I want to know if you translated the member's certificate at BEM or somewhere else? I'm just short of this last document before I send everything to my migration agent. Thanks.

For the bolded parts above (except English exam IELTS RM750 for now), I have to pay as well? Roughly how much if you have an idea please?

Say, this friend of mine is also engineering, therefore assessing body for skills we know is Engineers Australia.
*
Engineers Australia Skills Assessment Fee is AUD715. That is the amount quoted by my agent.

I need to translate my income tax documents to English but LHDN said they don't provide that service. My only option left is to go to translation centres.

I found one centre in SS2, Ringo but not sure if they have someone who is a certified translator. Another one is Cheok Translation Centre, who has a certified translator to do the job but the problem is he charges RM200 per page! Imagine if I have 10 pages to translate sad.gif

Is it okay to go to any translation centres and then get it certified as true copy by Commissioner of Oath?

Engineers Australia requested for third party verification of my employment at my current company. Anyone here experienced this before?

Is this for skill assessment ?
*
Yes, Engineers Australia is assessing my qualification and relevant skilled employment. Just need this last piece of document before they can finalize the assessment. Have you been asked by EA for this document?

Maybe you can ask your employer for a reference letter. After this, you can lodge your application. Good luck.
*
EA specifically mentioned the document must come from a third party not related to my company. So company reference letter is out. Will figure out something anyway. Thanks smile.gif

sounds like a statuary declaration?

SD is an option. Thought of giving bank statements since monthly bank statements show the salary credited to my account. Attach it together with my pay slips, the figures will match and won't make them doubt anymore

Agent submitted my EOI after Engineers Australia finally approved my skills assessment. Bad news is my nominated occupation has reached its ceiling and need to wait until July 2016 for new quota for 2016-2017 program. Even worse news is that visa fees will be reviewed in July and most likely will increase. Fingers crossed I dont have to wait to long to receive an invitation

What are the documents you prepared for the Engineer Australia Assessment ? I'm preparing for assessment now and wanna take some precautions. >.<
*
my agent settled it for me, so im not really sure the exact documents needed. i know i gave my work reference letter and a third party letter (EPF or Socso) to prove my income came from the company im working for. im not sure if my agent gave other documents like payslips, resume and income tax. best you ask your agent or email EA if you dont have one. hope this helps.

do you think its necessary to join Engineers Australia as a member to boost the qualification in Aus and hasten the assessment by EA?
*
i dont think so. you only need EA to assess and accept your education and work experience are similar to Aus standards. if you want EA to review your application faster, you can always pay them extra AUD250 (link here : EA Fast Track). i didnt pay them the extra AUD250 and i waited about 3-4 months before they started reviewing my application. so its up to you if you are willing to wait it out or just pay the extra money smile.gif

EA form is from the company, you can't use it. I've given bank statements, income tax (acknowledgement receipt) and EPF letter. Out of all the documents I submitted, Engineer Australia only accepted the EPF letter.

If you plan to translate the BM EPF statement to English, you won't be able to do it at any EPF office (I've asked the officers). If you want language centers to do it, they can but they can't insert EPF logo. So, best solution I can suggest is request EPF to write the letter for you. I got the letter on the spot after pestering them at the EPF office for days.

Hope this helps.

Hi all, i am currently pending with Engineer Australia's assessment and would like to seek help from all sifus here. I am applying for the Washington accord. Can i know what document I can submit for the following:

Documents issued by the related government agency or any other organisation not related to your employer, such as:
Social Security/Social Insurance Report
OR
Income Tax (Acknowledgment)/Payroll Tax report
OR
Superfund Contribution Statement
OR
Provident Fund Statement/Retirement contribution reports
OR
Work permit
NOTE: Company name must be stated on each document

I submitted EA form but was told to submit another which is not from the company, but i thought EA form is from the government?

Thanks in advance!

Hi Tatty89, thanks for your reply. Meaning you got the EPF statement and translated version of statement on the spot? I tried asking from the EPF office but they said they don't provide English version. May I know which office you went to and maybe I can try my luck!
*
EPF cannot give you translated version of statement cuz their official format is in BM. I went to the puchong branch to get the letter. They have a customer service counter hidden at one corner.
