QUOTE(jianh @ Jun 10 2016, 07:40 AM) Check the skills occupation list (SOL) in border.gov.au Even if my educational background shows up on the Skills and Occupations list (SOL), I still need to actually get a job offer there first right? Before I can proceed with anything I mean...I'm totally clueless lolHere: https://www.border.gov.au/Trav/Work/Work/Sk...tions-lists/SOL |

You don't really care about the SOL if this is the route you chose |

Before I can proceed with anything I mean...I'm totally clueless lol depends on what route you are taking... if you are able to get employment first, then you have another visamost people apply first because normally employers will not look at your CV if you don't have a work visa having your job in the SOL is just the first step... then you need to check if you have enough points http://www.migrationdesk.com/threads/point...immigration.24/ |

QUOTE(evieta @ Jul 7 2016, 04:16 PM) Yeap you're right, that's why i didn't take state sponsorship. the rules changed during my time which is visa 175 requires 65points and we're the last batch. Later that year replaced with visa 189 but only requires 60points.I was lucky though coz they recognise my working experience. I bumped up with some guys who still struggling accumulate the points. they still never realised that their relevant industry working experience can be calculated in points while struggling thru IELTS. I told them many times to check and read thoroughly until you really eat the whole book! now they only listen. That's why always read and understand the requirement. Check your profession IELTS minimum requirement. Check your local and foreign experience. Again, heard some people saying "of course lar....u got someone help u on PR..."or "u got someone help u looking for job...."....hey, no one helped me in getting PR or found my job. Hi all,
I am trying to get my skills assessed by VETASSESS and is wondering if anyone here knows if I need to submit my SPM cert as supporting document? IF yes, is it necessary to have it translated? The cheapest translation fee I found so far is by Ringo at RM 75 per page. Would like to know if it is mandatory. Appreciate your advice. Thanks. |

QUOTE(anything98 @ Jul 12 2016, 02:52 PM) Any company there is hiring? just wanted to let you know that a friend graduated from Aussie Uni and couldn't find a job in a legal firm even though he has working rights in Australia. He graduated more than 6 months ago. I am just graduated from UK with a law degree but does not really wan to practise. Thinking to migrate and to live in peace life oversea. It's not easy to get a job in a legal firm here if you do not have local experience. This post has been edited by evieta: Jul 13 2016, 06:35 AM |

My advice, while studying , volunteer as much as possible and get a part time job. This will help a lot after graduation.

QUOTE(kenji1903 @ Jul 13 2016, 10:46 AM) IT industry. My agent (relative) says I got 60 and its sufficient but would like me to sit IELTS as a safety net and increase the chances.I'm still trying to network with my ex colleges to see if I can directly apply there and get the visa sponsored too. |
