I have an all-in-one insurance from company but thinking of getting myself a critical diseases insurance, so buy in malaysia or sg, which is a better option?

My fren working in insurance company oso bought his personal insurance,

Reason -

Eventually u leave the company, at the end u still need one, and more exp when u grow older

Company insurance not fully cover, need to be careful, sometimes it oni cover job related

When u retired ? Tats the time u need the insurance most as ur sickness start coming in, while company insurance no more cover u

Buy something tat cover u wholelife , means 99 y.o the best, most insurance cover till 70+ or 80+ y.o oni, so becareful when u buy it. But of coz tis kind of insurance is more expensive

For illness coverage, buy something tat cover early-illness than critical illness, the critical illness list normally means, u r sure dying , even u heal up oso half die. For example, critical illness may not cover ur early stage cancer, it need to be at certain critical stage for u to claim for the insurance.
So, wat to do, buy early illness, as long as u do a yearly check up, u should able to find out whether u got some serious illness at early stage , then u can claim insurance for medical , instead of waiting for it to get worse so tat u can claim insurance laugh.gif laugh.gif

finally buy a life insurance tat cover u till 99 y.o, no matter u die frm illness, or u die at natural, or u suicide . U still leave some money for ur family,p. And tell u tis is really cheap compare to the amount insured, but carefull ur family may kill u for the money whistling.gif whistling.gif

My 2cent on insurance after discussion with my fren work in insurance company thumbup.gif

Just go and buy insurance. Your CPF would subsidise part of the insurance premium and it's not even that expensive (was quoted $800 a year for hospitalisation insurance).

Even in Malaysia, you should buy insurance anyway unless you don't mind being on waiting lists for surgeries at government hospitals. With insurance, you can opt for private hospitals if you want to.

Its only accessible for Sg resident / PR. means after July we hardly access our IRAS d if we don't have the 2 pass verification thing ?

just now called ICA, confirm that the entry permit and re-entry permit for PR are difference

they cant reissue the "entry permit" as it only issue one time when your PR is approved

so advise is,
1) file the original copy properly
2) make a softcopy as back-up,
3) make a photostate copy, if you want to bring it with you all the time

they tell me to make police report, nothing else can do , lol

1. Passport
2. Permit Card
3. Malaysia IC

Minimum require to have SGD1000 in the deposit. If lesser, every month will deduct SGD2.

They wont ask u to put money inside in order open the account for first time.
