Legally? Then practically not possible, because companies aren't likely to bother applying the necessary TEP or other permit just to bring you on board for 3 months.

If you are external contractor could be as low as 12-14 days. Direct employment normally 24-28 days. Then add on a few volunteering days, family leave days, childcare leave, etc -- can easily add up to 35++.

Yes this is the right / clean way to do it. But I suppose many Malaysians (and probably lots of them in this thread) don't bother. Just come to SG and work, next March/April do Malaysia tax filing to claim back all the overpaid PCB, then every year after that just declare zero income. Or don't declare at all, who knows.
