Calling all users who registered Unifi 30MB before the official announcement:
When we registered for Unifi 30MB the price was RM199/mth. During official announcement the price was dropped to RM179/mth. All the T&C of both packages are the same. Initially I thought TM would automatically change my price to RM179/mth but TM didn't.. I went to TM centre yesterday and the staff said it is not possible to reduce to RM179/mth... WTF!!!
Guys, have u complained to TM?? Did u manage to get the new price??

Most of us already got the discount after complained to SKMM/CFM. Some even could get the discount directly without any complaints in advance, depends on which TM point. I suggest you to complain to SKMM. Alternatively, you can go to other branches (eg. KL) to get that discount. This post has been edited by Max2006: Nov 18 2015, 11:21 AM

QUOTE(sordanny @ Nov 18 2015, 01:33 PM) Thanks guys I'll try and see. If cannot gonna report to SKMM Depends on TM Point to TM Point, most TM Point are already aware of the issue, they'll provide you with one customer complain form, you'll need to fill that up and they'll submit the request to revise the price

Nothing beats sudden lag spike and random low speed and high ping like Unifi. I'm experiencing it right now. In fact, it is so common for it happen at night from 8pm onwards. I paid for 30mbps A MONTH. If I log my connection speed the total time I ACTUALLY get 30mbps is only worth 14days. God damn. Before anyone ask, yes I changed the router and I'm using Asus RT-N12HP and it is right outside of my room. I've rebooted the router (which usually fix the problem) but to no avail. Anyone facing similar situation? lo and behold, 30mbps Unifi package: This post has been edited by benblitz: Nov 18 2015, 03:30 PM

I have always gotten max torrent download speed from my streamyx 1mbps, back in the old days. ~120kb/s. This post has been edited by SSJBen: Nov 18 2015, 05:04 PM

QUOTE(SSJBen @ Nov 18 2015, 05:04 PM) Funny. I have always gotten max torrent download speed from my streamyx 1mbps, back in the old days. ~120kb/s. 1Mbps comes with 384Kbps upload speed. which is close to 38% 8Mbps only comes with 512Kbps which hurt download speed quite much. But if your upload speed is higher than 2Mbps, regardless how slow is your upload speed, you won't notice upload speed is the limiting factor to your download speed. But if your upload speed is higher than 2Mbps, regardless how slow is your upload speed, you won't notice upload speed is the limiting factor to your download speed. The point is quite moot now a days, in terms of symmetrical vs asymmetrical. When I was in the US, AT&T gave me 100mbps down, 5mbps up. That's 5%. Torrent speeds are usually around the 11.5MB/s mark, which is pretty much near the max. Symmetrical plans make sense for content creators and for people who use the cloud a lot. Not that I don't think higher upload = better, but the sad reality is that majority of people download. Not just in Malaysia, but around the globe.
