Im using unifi advance at house n 30mb biz advance at the shop. Im looking for a good router. As the one at home cant cover 2nd floor. The one at biz. Even phone is just beside. Wifi is do slow. Any recomendation ?

You onli can upgrade(Pay more $$ to TM ) plan not downgrade. VIP 20 to Adv 30 is consider downgrade. VIP 20 to Adv 50 upgrade/sidegrade

guys, i just recently got call from tm about this new advance 30. should i upgrade to advance30 ? but i already reject the offer since it require me to create another 2years contract. can i call to tm again and ask for this offer again?

current plan: VIP 10 -RM179( RM187 with gst)
new plan offered by tm : unifi advance 30mbps - RM179( rm187 with gst)

based on price its same. and here is the pro and cons that i know.

pro
- more faster download from 10mbps to 30mbps ( good for my torrenting, files downloads etc)
- no price increase

cons
- upload speed decrease from 10mbps to 5mbps ( i hosting movie streaming to my friends, but they rarely access it btw)
- no more free voice call to fixed line( but mostly i nvr use this phone)
- left 1 year contract, if i take new plan, it will renew back to 2years. but currently not planning to move out since i bought that house.


normally i use internet for
- normal browsing
- IPTV( astro on the go, iflix)
- movies torrents
- files download

currently only me and my wife use internet. she mostly streaming movies. should i upgrade or not ?

i was using the same package as you and applied to upgrade to 30Mbps at the TM point few months ago but that time the package is rm199 yet. luckily my rm20 discount for not getting hypptv package is bringing over as well. but the contract renew again for 2 yrs.

You should try complaining via MCMC or go to TM Point and try to upgrade to 30Mb/s

Really hard to say, if your usage involve downloading then the difference is quite big, for streaming if your household have 2 people only then you won't notice that much difference in terms of streaming youtube for other sites like netflix you will notice a big difference (can stream 4k)

TM is expanding Unifi in Alor Setar. I kept seeing these guys working late night. I believe now along Jalan Langgar until Hospital is already available starting yesterday, already registered to my house. Go get em guys.

most of us know the router provided by TM is rubbish .

Hi all currently having this router problem:

On Unifi Advance30, using dual band router TP-Link TL-WDR4300.
My 2.4ghz totally cant be used. Cant even load google although getting excellent signal. Tried on several devices already.
Ethernet speed getting 30mbps for dl. So the speed is there and spot on.
5ghz frequency also great. Getting full 30mbps on wifi when doing testspeed.

So if you were me, would u:

Send for repair and claim warranty? But end up maybe a 2-4 weeks without internet because waiting for repair and also the fact that im from melaka.

Or just buy dual band wireless usb, just use the 5ghz and live on with it?

Done some googling and found out there are actually many having problem whereby their 2.4ghz slower than 5ghz. Tried switch to different channels also with no results.

Try using a 20Mhz instead of 20/40 Mhz usually that solves the problem

Unifi can get without HyppTV package? How ar? I dont want HyppTV and free call to fixed line bcoz I never used them. I just want fast internet with cheap price.
