I think you will need to call "100" to confirm.

Call 100 --> Option 2 English --> Option 2 Unifi --> Option 4 Marketing Department.

Hello friends,

I was having issue with the connection speed. Unifi technician just came this morning and replaced my modem.
I wasn't there when they do the fixing and replacement as I was at work.

My question is will I be charged for this new modem on my next bill? im using the square shaped box called something like huawei.

Which year of service?

If I'm not mistaken I think after a year of service then
you will need to pay for the router but the modem is free.

Thanks Kanuki for the reply.

My unifi started since March 2014, but I just upgraded to 30mbps last month and that's where the problem arise. Now I don't even know if my equipment warranty get renewed or expired already.

But if it's like you said, modem is free then I guess I no need to pay. They came to replace the modem only.

But how long is the warranty for modem? free as in Lifetime?

lifetime. its their asset. changed mine few months back. my old modem was running 10 years non stop.

I've lost the Optical link signal out of sudden yesterday when no one was at home... just worried the fiber optic cable is broken...

Just want to check... how long will TM person perform onsite check after the support ticket is logged?

I nearly shit my pants when my wife told me they tukar the modem already coz i rmb i read somewhere it cost like rm500.

1-2 days, depending on tm technician.

1st they will check outdoor, and then if outlook all ok, then their contractor will have to come and you most probably have to pay if it is indeed cable putus.

i'm using 30mbps unifi now. but at my room, i only able to get up until 20mbps. if i buy better router, will it solve? even when i'm only using 150mbps usb wifi?

plan to buy asus RT-AC55UHP.

Last few weeks, streaming youtube videos simultaneously on 2 smartphone has been lagging. Just normal 480p videos. Does changing to a new router like Asus RT-N12 will fix the lagging issue? I'm on VIP10 and it should not be lagging for just 2 devices right?

but somehow i faced random disconnect from dota2 and internet aswell for couple of sec. this usually happened at night. is it the signal or something?

shouldn't have any problem, i also suspect wifi adapter is the cause of this issue.
