Hello,

I've lost the Optical link signal out of sudden yesterday when no one was at home... just worried the fiber optic cable is broken...

Just want to check... how long will TM person perform onsite check after the support ticket is logged?
thankyou

1-2 days, depending on tm technician.

1st they will check outdoor, and then if outlook all ok, then their contractor will have to come and you most probably have to pay if it is indeed cable putus.

Alright... Thank you sir!
thankyou

den u guide us.

Yes indeed the modem mac address is binded to the TM pole, once not match, the auth / link will failed.

I heard ppl said u can call TM and ask them revoke the mac address, but they won't allow. Correct me if I'm wrong.

The guide I've created was years back but I think a small tweak should make it work...

@ywkwy created another guide which has all the detail you want...

what the cost?
how to configuration?
one of lyn member got mention those modem already bind the mac address..
if connection got problem..u call 100, the CS representative will login ur modem by remote to check status..
*
I'm not too sure about VDSL modem... The finding was made on FTTH Huawei specific ONU...

Cost? You can find all Huawei HG (Home Gateway) @ Taobao... from Home to Enterprise ONU... There's update on another thread about Mikrotik GPON SFP with the support of Huawei OLT...

https://forum.lowyat.net/topic/2040480/+980

the CS reset your modem through configured TR-069 CWMP on every unifi modem/onu... its not the MAC address you've mentioned...
thankyou

The latest HG8240W from TM locked down telnet and Web UI. No way to access the password. sad.gif
*
I'm not sure how do they 'lock down' telnet and WebUI. Last time they did the same but there's a trick, before the system actually boot up, you will a short time to access to telnet and webui before the firewall kick in to block the access from LAN...
thankyou

Other port is block from my office.  So i need to use the common ports.
*
Yea, this is what I'm facing as well. I need to use common ports due to client guest network open to certain ports only...

Sigh...

It would be great if they can open upon request!
