I also make a report about upload speed for unifi advanced 30,they are very funny and state that 5 Mbps is enough for upload instead of 10 but I still refuse it because I need that to upload videos on YouTube, but I don't care and ask them to make a report and see what happen tomorrow

Not sure what happen to my router Asus AC66. Whenever I rebooted the router, it will automatically connect to VPN.
I've checked that no activated any VPN as default, so every time I need to go to VPN setting to click on Activate and Deactivate in order to connect to network normally. I tried to remove all VPN profile in router, that even worst that I can't even find the option to deactivate it. Anyone can help me? |

QUOTE(jolmy @ Jan 30 2016, 11:07 PM) Set the WiFi channel width to 20MHz (NOT 40MHz). It is a well-known issue that Apple devices don't work well with 20MHz. huhAlso, like @blacktubi said, if you live an area crowded with Wireless AP (especially in high-rise), you may want to consider 5GHz or better still, invest in HomePlug technology which is exactly what I am using. https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT202068 but apple say 20mhz better wo... |

QUOTE(onlinepaycheck @ Jan 30 2016, 07:41 PM) I have been experiencing problem with my Unifi 30... wifi connection suddenly loses internet. HyppTV still continue playing. I plugged in LAN to laptop, there's internet! but Wifi on 3 iPhones doesn't have internet connected. Earlier I thought it was the stock router's problem (it was happening like every 1 or 2 days), so I changed to TPLink TL-WR1043ND. And I encountered the same problem again. I needed to restart the router to fix it. Has anyone experienced this? Any advice on this? i change to channel 11, less problem for apple devices.... |

QUOTE(blacktubi @ Jan 30 2016, 08:58 PM) [attachmentid=5943662] I don't have Android device, iOS doesnt have similar app.... Do a wireless scan and if you see something like the image above, 2.4Ghz is probably unusable at your location. but a check on PC shows 9 wireless APs detected. But I do have TP-LINK TL-WPA4220KIT WiFi powerline extender which I didn't use because signal is strong enough to reach my bedroom on 2nd floor. Try a different wireless channel as well. but a check on PC shows 9 wireless APs detected. I don't have 5GHz router. But I do have TP-LINK TL-WPA4220KIT WiFi powerline extender which I didn't use because signal is strong enough to reach my bedroom on 2nd floor. Sorry, I edited my problem statement. You should be able to see which channel is the least congested with Inssider on Windows. |

Last I check about a year ago, Apple devices only connect to 802.11n 40Mhz channel width when running at 5GHz. At 2.4Ghz, Apple devices only uses 20 Mhz, never 40.Also, like @blacktubi said, if you live an area crowded with Wireless AP (especially in high-rise), you may want to consider 5GHz or better still, invest in HomePlug technology which is exactly what I am using. |
