The CIMB 3 months 4% promo seems to apply for over the counter placement as well.
Have done it twice the past 2 weeks.

just got back from UOB to withdraw a matured FD, was told to add 10k to enjoy the 4.2% one-year promo rate

In AmBank to place for the 2 years 4.6%. Crowded ! A lot of Chinese uncles and aunties there. Talked to the BM. He said lots of people doing the 4.6% FD. Their quota is 1.5 billion RM or end of Nov. So far after launching since last Monday, 500 million RM. Not bad, just within 1 week. Their FD system is much better nowadays. Took about 10 minutes to get the cert after my turn to the counter. I only finished uplifting my FD after 45 mins. No wonder so many uncles & aunties. |
