Not sure if anyone asked this before. For the Ambank 2 months FD promo of 3.7%, does the same rate apply if opening via e-FD online instead of going to the branch?

Thanks.
*
I think I asked that question before here. You have to go to branch. Cannot be done via eFD. Better check with other members.

If you cannot find their bank, you can always refer to first page for other promo. Select the bank which is convenient for you. Just don't put board rate.

best logical option for u is maybank islamic efd 1mth, rm5kk min, 3.25% p.a. rate.

maturity just nice before December if u place tomorrow. or, u can even roll for 2 cycles, ending December (if the maturity is before ur need to utilize it)

don't worry too much about the other big promo rates. only go for it if your cashflow is favourable to you, convenient locations, etc

Follow what cybpsych said. But choose Islamic efd. Don't choose the conventional one. Islamic efd give you 3.25%. Conventional gives only 3.15%.You are giving maybank free 0.1% if you choose the conventional efd

The above is valid if you have >=rm5k. If you have less than that, choose ambank Islamic efd at 3.15%. Minimum is rm1000 smile.gif

By the way, cybpsych, correct your posts to maybank Islamic efd. Not just any efd. If he put conventional efd, he only get 3.15%. Giving maybank free 0.1% doh.gif

If you can go to the bank, better go to bank. Get promo rates rather than board rates. Do not put efd unless it is really short time (1 month) or you cannot go to bank. By putting via eFD, you lose a lot for the same term. Say 1 year efd vs 1 year promo rates FD.

Then either you stick with Maybank 3.25% or ambank 3.15 or do like what wil-i-am does. Dump into ASX FP this coming 31st or 1st. Withdraw one month later.  Any deposit after the 1st not counted. Must hold until that month ends. Can only withdraw the following month. Good side is no need rm100k can earn 6.X%. thumbup.gif Rm1000 also can. tongue.gif 1 month interest of 6.X% but you need to wait ~1 year to get that interest. sad.gif If you have the book, can do it online. Just pay I think rm1.06 regardless how much is the amount. But to withdraw need to go to bank.

For 1 month efd, better choose those real efd. No need to waste petrol.
