if it is 3 months into fd and no interest given, going to 4.33% still a loss. brows.gif

why 33/48 months in your calculation??? hmm.gif

tun said into 3 months, not sure if >3 months. if <3 months, no interest.

dun think he made a gain switching 12 month 3.7% to 15 month 4.33%. losing 3 month interest is not worth it. he should be able to do some calculation. brows.gif

Best one month efd is maybank Islamic efd at 3.25%. Don't expect so high. I heard that if you are vip member of cimb, can get 3.7% for their efd. But you better confirm with the bank. Don't take my word for it.

See if it's worth your petrol and parking money. For me I prefer 1 month efd. No petrol and parking cost incurred.

If you are ok with GIA, you can go for maybank GIA step up. 1st-6th month is 4%. So after 1 month, withdraw, you still get the 4% unlike traditional fd. If after a month you don't need the money can continue keep.

However, if $10-20k for 1 month, I prefer efd, not worth the effort & time to go counter. Maybank efd easy and convenient.

From Maybank website on information on GIA FD offering
GIA FD T&C
GIA FD Product Disclosure

Some questions to those who have this type of FD
Can this GIA FD be uplift via online?
If uplift early, say, after 1 month and 5 days into the tenure, will you still get 1 month and 5 days interest (or hibah) of 4% assuming that 4% is the given rate.

TIA
