QUOTE(bbgoat @ Nov 7 2015, 06:47 PM) The OCBC 12 mth 4.5% is the best so far. Though I did have AmBank 2 yrs 4.6%, 6 mths 4.25% (with the 20" trolley bag ). I did have MBSB and MBB 4.5% also. But now with OCBC 4.5% coming out, it is the best one with PIDM (though I don't really care too much about it). Your standard is too high, OCBC PB centre new with young leng lui's inside there. I was there again on Thursday for the 12 mth 4.5% FD. The decoration is GREAT, relaxing. I just received RM300 for PB Member get Member program. Signed up 2 more, expecting RM600 in say 3 months' time. I went to Ambank on the last day offer on 20 inch luggage bag, was told only first 500, non guarantee, thus didnt place for 6 months instead go for 2 years. Ocbc parking place is alway a headache

Ocbc parking place is alway a headache I placed on the first day and was told very high chances of getting it. On the same day I placed some more 2 yrs one also (before that already placed for the 2 yrs one). OCBC PB centre free parking is lousy. Hard to get in as limited space. So have to pay for RM2 per hr parking outside.

QUOTE(yygo @ Nov 8 2015, 05:30 PM) must be filthy rich, worry people follow or notice! Not because of rich, just that situation are bad nowadays, better safe than sorry If you got a VIP account and can enter their special room, some may able to see it and target you. Especially now most banks only allow over the counter transactions when go beyond certain amount, so why take the risk for no reason

Lets say I received a bank in of the said fresh funds, can I then go to the bank and tell them I received fresh funds ytd and want to place an FD? Fresh funds can be in the form of cash, other bank's banker's cheque or personal cheque etc. It is not restricted to cash only. As for the 2nd part of your question, it depends on how that particular bank defines fresh funds. Some may consider funds deposited into your bank account not more than 3 or 7 days prior to the date of your placing of FD to be fresh funds.

HapengSafest is say your cash comes into bank A (<7 days) ask bank and see can use that fund ot not. If cannot, just IBFT to bank B. Then go to bank B and withdraw in banker's cheque. Bring money back to bank A. This sure considered as fresh funds.

QUOTE(bbgoat @ Nov 5 2015, 08:12 AM) OK, checked MBB online. The "profit" is in, shown as "Credit FD Int". I calculated the amt given, it is 4%, as declared for first 6 mths. Calculated for 31 days for/over Oct month. Maybe others can check theirs later. Now looks like can put in more eggs there ! my "profit" in as well. but description shown is different: "GIA DIVIDEND EARNED -0001 xxxxxxxxxxxx" full 4% p.a. for 31 days (Oct-Nov).
