I still remember back in the days 4.0 was something to scream about. now we have 4.5%. wonder it is a bad thing or good thing that banks now are offering this rates because they have lack of funds

QUOTE(bbgoat @ Nov 5 2015, 11:02 AM) After some calculation, worth to terminate my CIMB conventional one 4.35% placed on Monday and go to OCBC. Lose some but gain back RMx00. Not bad deal. But though can also terminate the one I placed on Tuesday, Islamic one, but keep there for security sake and monthly interest. I also feel like terminating my CIMB placed yesterday, LOL! Shall I do it? |

QUOTE(tonytyk @ Nov 5 2015, 01:09 PM) As long as you withdraw after completion of any of the 4 steps, you will be paid accordingly to the contracted interest rate on each step.Good for depositor who doesn't want to tie up fund for 15 mths. |

Generally all FD early withdrawals would just waive the latest month interest if full month unfulfilled unless T&C practises prorated interest |

Your bank is indeed very generous. Can share with us which bank is practising this type of policy ? |

Has anyone done any research if the interest rates are better of at the beginning or end of the year for the past few years? Just curious.
