Any of you guys ever did a walk-in service to SC?

Previous owner did in Geot Auto SC but i think would like to do it at Desa Pandan SC since abit near to my home. Is it ok for me to just walk in?

Should not be a problem. Although I don't know how busy Desa Pandan SC is. You might have to wait a bit longer if you did not make an appointment.

Why don't you service at an independent Peugeot workshop, price will be lower. I now pay $200 for service as opposed to $480 at authorized SC. Further more I now use Mobil 1, previously use to be PETRONAS.

I see.. I am also thinking to do it at an independent Peugeot SC. But just concerned if i go to them, then how about the peugeot service record book? Or it doesn't matter?

But rm200 service is cool on our wallets yo!

Hey guys, my 408 turbo 1 year old recently its air-cond is malfunctioning, the symptoms are as below:

1. Start the car, turn on the air-cond, got fan but no cold air, drive a few km cold air suddenly comes out.
2. Start the car, turn on the air-cond, got cold air, but after few minutes no more cold air then after few restart of the air cond, the cold air comes back.

However, it happens randomly, what could be the cause and how do i explain to SC if the problem happens randomly.

Sorry to hear that happening to your new baby. But i think it is best to share this with the technician in SC (which you regularly see) as per what you have explained here and get it diagnosed first thing.

Well, that is what one of the Peugeot technicians told me before i even bought my 3008 last week..

Based on my experience, soon your aircond compressor gonna kaput. Maybe can still last for 1-2months time.

No harm to drive the car even if the aircon compressor fail. Just go to nearest SC. The tech might be able to confirm faulty compressor if got abnormal sound.

Service record is only essential to keep warranty valid, so that claims can be made. I think your warranty is void, right? In such case keeping record is only for personnel preference. I like to keep a record, so I get the independent workshop to endorse the record book.

Tesco often has fully synthetic engine oil on sale at $129. Oil filter is $45 from spare parts shop. Service charge at independent workshops is $80. All done for $254 to be exact. Any known brand oil is fine, make sure spec: 5w-30 or 5w-40.


This is common problem, it's a defective compressor internal bearing. SC are well aware of it. The actual job only takes about an hour, but depends on how busy the SC is. Mine took about 4 hrs.

I have yet to change mine. Just did a normal service at an independent SC earlier today. Did below services:

Change Engine Oil and Oil Filter (Mobil) - 285
AT6 Gear Oil - 600
Labour charges and diagnose fault finding - 130

Total Damage - RM1015


Consider normal/ good pricing for the service?

I'm interested to buy 408 but I have few questions would like to know before I make decision, hope any1 of u can advise.

1) Any frequent or major problem in 408?
2) Is maintenance cost high?
3) If work place travel between cheras to damansara, is it recommended one of city drive car?

Glenmari told me complete job will take about a week. I'm going in on the 23rd.March. Family got spare cars, so more convenient for me to leave my car there and get it all done at one go!

Btw do they check on service record or was any questions asked?
