What does the pullback means?

By the way, i've attached a video link regarding the noise that my engine has produced. Anyone knows whats the problem with it? the noise doesn't come out everytime, its the second time that i heard the same noise coming out from the engine when the engine is hot.

Hey, just wanna ask u guys, whether our 408 can have the trip computer shown on the radio display cos I saw a 408 2.0 has it but I can't do that in my 1.6 thp. Another thing I notice is that 308 has the "oil OK" sign every time u start the car but not in mine, is it just me or 408 is like this?

Hmm… my mode button only changes between 3 screens, radio, phone and time/date… can t find the trip display, the wiper stalk no matter how I press it just changes the display in front of the steering

Ok, I'll inform sc regarding this, thanks a lot… haha. btw, when I put the car in neutral and rev the engine, a rattling sound comes out from the engine bay once I let go the accelerator, is this normal? And, is it normal that the coolant level is below the minimum level? It's a less than 1 year old car.

Ok ok … I should be visiting sc next two weeks for 20k service… but I'm from johor so hope that the sc will change for me… btw, if I insist them on the problem but they do not do anything can I refuse to pay until they provide me a satisfactory solution? Cos I've had very bad experience with the sc here… very very bad…

I went to both kebun teh and plentong sc… both shit to the max, kebun teh marginally better but still very bad. Last time I went kebun teh and ask them to check my ac as it produces a rattling sound when I turn it on while in gear car not moving… and they say ac got sound, then I ask so claim warranty lo, they say can't, computer scan no error… I was like wth… are they stupid or what… need to shoot them again this coming service…

How much reduction in coolant is considered abnormal? My car now is currently mileage 19k, had never top up any coolant(did not see charges for top up in 10k service invoice) and the coolant level in the coolant reservoir now is just a little bit below the minimum line. I think they would probably reply me that, "well we don't see any leaks, so can't claim".

I think most brands are more or less the same when it comes to claiming something from the warranty… even Honda(I have a Honda city too)... I guess you just need to prepare yourself to negotiate with the sc in order to produce a favorable outcome… haha. Some more the promo now is so attractive… I bought my car at the same price but no free service… damn it

hey guys... have you guys encountered rear axle bent problem? today i went to a trye shop to do wheel alignment as i found that my tyre wear is uneven. Then the mechanic told me that the rear axle is bent and the rear axle is the fixed type and no adjustment can be made on the rear and also no matter how i do alignment it will cause my front left wheel to wear unevenly...He told me to go back sc and claim warranty... so is this covered under warranty?

I've attached a picture that he told me to take down and show it to the sc...some advice pls...seemed like serious problem

BTW my car is just a little over 20k mileage and less than 1 year car

Yup..that's what i mean... I've already went to two tyre shop..the first one didn't tell me any problem and he just did alignment for my car...but after driven for a few weeks I still notice the car's eating the tyre thread...I'll be visiting sc this coming Thursday to check on my low coolant level problem...will ask sc regarding this problem....anyway, if the rear axle is found broken or whatever describes it, is it under warranty or is it a wear n tear part? hopefully under warranty

Nope...its the front left tyre wearing on the outer side, the tyre man told me that it's the rear right tyre that is causing it

Have you tinted your car? That's what i felt when i first took the car... after tinting it feels much better..i think it's to do with the big windscreen

I also not sure..he just told me to go back sc to claim and say that axle won't bend easily....
I went to two tyre shop already.. the first one i saw him like very blur not knowing what to do when he saw the undercarriage of the car...then i notice the front tyre is still wearing unevenly then took the car to second tyre shop then only i was told of this situation

Peugeot 408 has recall????

Hey guys,

I saw the service schedule for 408 in the previous thread, why is it the spark plugs needed to be replaced such early (40k) and the interval is so short (replace again at 60K). And if i'm not wrong 408 turbo uses iridium spark plugs, should last longer that it is stated in that schedule. Another thing is, what does the air filter element do? is it compulsory to change?

Hey guys, my 408 turbo 1 year old recently its air-cond is malfunctioning, the symptoms are as below:

1. Start the car, turn on the air-cond, got fan but no cold air, drive a few km cold air suddenly comes out.
2. Start the car, turn on the air-cond, got cold air, but after few minutes no more cold air then after few restart of the air cond, the cold air comes back.

However, it happens randomly, what could be the cause and how do i explain to SC if the problem happens randomly.

I thought i saw some members in this forum got their compressors or cooling coil (I forgot) changed under the extended warranty?
