if i were to buy it I would probably just go for the Premium spec. got full safety features ok already. The other items on GT spec are just luxury stuff

but ya 20".... they should've spec'ed all the cars with 18 or 19" at most, can bring down the price also

Would you prefer the 1.2 puretech engine? For me that would be grossly underpowered at 131hp. The offered 1.6 putetech puts out a delicious 218hp.

Looks like Peugeot takes another death dive with the new models in Malaysia. Practically no enthusiasm for it from public. Thats a shame as this model is loaded with modern technology. Loads of new features & new power packed 1.6 liter engine.

After sales and service from previous franchise holders has been poor. Even I who own the 408thp for 12 years am looking at other replacements. My last Pug after having owned two!

You are very observant.

If you look back, I've done quite a bit of research on Prince engines, especially ep6cdtm. I know exactly the number of improvements & details done on this engine & also on ep6fdt. This thread has infact posted the list of mods that I put out. I wanted to upgrade to 3008.

My pull back is mainly due to the advance technology Pug is coming out. More & more electronics being used. Dont get me wrong I love electronics. But SC are not adequatly trained & extremely poor after sales!

In short, if I cannot maintain the car sufficently, I'm walking away. Deep down I dont think I can ever erase Pug within me.....hahaha! To the point I dare not have a look at the latest 408! I know for sure if I visit the showroom, I'll be signing on the order form!

Please dont take my 2cents worth to stop you from getting the new Pug. It is a superb machine thumbup.gif

First time replacing the valve cover gasket. Took me about 4 hours to get it done. Clips has become fragile and hose are stuck sticking.

Seems like the service center did not replace the timing chain guide during recall. Same goes to the valve cover gasket. The rubber valve cover gasket has become "rigid plastic". They probably never replace it as well in the last recall.

My remote no longer working although replaced with new battery. So now use manual key.
Want to ask, how to properly manually lock our car?
Some times when I lock, only driver's door locked while other doors not locked. Sometime all doors locked. And sometimes the side mirrors will be folded just like using remote.
Any idea? Tq.

Any 408 2nd generation (2017) owners here changed their player?
Found something good in AliExpress but not sure if changing player will kill other functions in the car
