No, if this 408 is Euro-related. May or may not include China Peugeout.
Check with your manual which should likely specify a Peugeot approved oil.

actually u can use it .. as long the rating is correct.
been use total, mobil, liqui moly, Millers, comma .. as long is 5W30 (mine is 408T) then is ok .. make sure is genuine oil then ok ..

Hmm.... you mean to say your owner manual does not specify one of the following Peugeot oil specs:

From which country is your 408 assembled/manuactured if it is not from Europe?

2.0 should be 5W40 = PSA B71 2296

Yes bro, i did custom open pod as well. I did with the Bros Auto, very clean job they did. But this kit I think u must preorder, selling like hot cake biggrin.gif
Next thinking of upgrading exhaust system as well rclxm9.gif

That's why I would be quite surprise if 'OP' 408 owner's manual does not specify Peugeot approved oils in B71 229x .....
leading to non-compliance (OEM).

So far so good, hehehe. I frequent travel highway a lot, can really feel the power. Of course not much on the higher end of rpm, to achieve this our turbo need to chg also. Im so far happy with what I have.
My only mistake is I didnt start to do everything from Bros Auto, instead I started at different workshop. So my advice is, start from scratch with Bros Auto, as they can guide u better based on yr needs.
Last dyno done early this year, I clocked about 198hp at the crank cool2.gif

Thanks for the insight,

All this while the SC are using 5W30 for my 408 2.0 inspite of the high mileage >150KM.

By the way, I have another query on my engine loudness while idling.
Will changing the engine hood insulator help?

shell helix ultra 5w40, tesco got one. have been bought that oil since 8 years ago. average price rm80-99 depending on offer

Thanks for the info :-).

Finally got myself changed to MotorLube 5w40 at RM100.00 at my friend garage.
All in RM150.00 include oil filter.

Sorry for the delayed reply bro, been away biggrin.gif
So far done, downpipe+open pod+remap+full decarb.
I dont consider decarb as a mod la, it shud be a mandatory maintenance for our pug.
Next upgrade will be turbo upgrade, probably after i upgrade the exhaust system. grin.gif

wow downpipe + open pod can achieve that number already ..

I was planning do open pod + decat first ... then wonder should do turbo and intercooler as well or not ..
then only go remap ..

just try to achieve 200hp or something near that ..

Thats interesting! What did all this cost? How much will turbo upgrade cost. What HP target you are expecting after turbo upgrade?

saw one youtubers upgraded his 408 with new bigger Turbo kit, all new exhaust system, upgrade cold air intake with box etc and remap. yes, it improves a lot on Torque, HP, but it is very pricey for all sets. not sure if it is worth it to considering the 2nd price of Peugeot

the youtuber is cardock ?
for me, stage 2 should be decat + open pod + remap ..
if change bigger turbo kit + intercooler then is something more serious .. stage 3 maybe ..
of course barang not only that for stage 3 ..

As the cardock 408 .. with the cost and the result .. i think not worth it ..
cause i saw many 408T user .. actually did achieve 200hp (+-) with stage 2 alone ..
walnut decabo (make sure engine is healthy too) + open pod + decat + remap ..

anyway just my 2cent la .. im not pro on this also ..
