if your car is no more under warranty, and if you used a fully synthetic last service, u can let it until 1 year duration. this from what I heard in Autotec segment in Traxx FM last time
*
Yes, i am using fully synthetic EO and no more warranty oledi.

Then i will wait for another few months before sending the car for service.

Last time Etiqa allowed Agreed Value now Peugeot is one of the listed brands which can only insured with Market Value.
Moved to P&O ProMilej due to less traveling thus save extra by going for the 5k annual mileage plan.

What is the reason for agreed value? I've always taken market value. Infact prefer lower than market value as premium will be lower!

Agreed Value, so even on the last day of the contract, when total loss, they will pay you the agreed value.
If Market Value, when total lost, they will just follow the current market value (not your insured value) to compensate you.
For Honda/Toyota/Perodua, Market Value is ok, but for contis, the depreciation is so huge better go with Agreed Value.

Guys,

My friend workshop recommend to use Shell or Castrol 5W 30 fully synthetic oil as they don't have Mobil brand.

Is it suitable for my Y2016 408 2.0 ?
Thanks.

No, if this 408 is Euro-related. May or may not include China Peugeout.
Check with your manual which should likely specify a Peugeot approved oil.

Hmm.... you mean to say your owner manual does not specify one of the following Peugeot oil specs:

QUOTE
PSA B71 2290
Peugeot/Citroën engine oil specification introduced in 2009. B71 2290 is a low-SAPS oil intended for engines with diesel particulate filters and with Euro 5 emission standards. General specifications are: ACEA C2 or C3 with additional PSA tests.
PSA B71 2294
Peugeot/Citroën engine oil specification introduced in 2009. Main specification: ACEA A3/B4 with additional PSA tests.
PSA B71 2295
Peugeot/Citroën engine oil standard for engine before MY 1998. General specification: ACEA A2/B2.
PSA B71 2296
Peugeot/Citroën engine oil specification introduced in 2009. General specifications: ACEA A3/B4 + additional PSA tests.

From which country is your 408 assembled/manuactured if it is not from Europe?

2.0 should be 5W40 = PSA B71 2296

That's why I would be quite surprise if 'OP' 408 owner's manual does not specify Peugeot approved oils in B71 229x .....
leading to non-compliance (OEM).

Do give us a shout if you experience into any issues! How much does it cost. What is your present HP/NM ?

So far so good, hehehe. I frequent travel highway a lot, can really feel the power. Of course not much on the higher end of rpm, to achieve this our turbo need to chg also. Im so far happy with what I have.
My only mistake is I didnt start to do everything from Bros Auto, instead I started at different workshop. So my advice is, start from scratch with Bros Auto, as they can guide u better based on yr needs.
Last dyno done early this year, I clocked about 198hp at the crank cool2.gif

Thanks for the insight,

All this while the SC are using 5W30 for my 408 2.0 inspite of the high mileage >150KM.

By the way, I have another query on my engine loudness while idling.
Will changing the engine hood insulator help?
Thank you.
