Hi fellow Peugeot owners, I owned a 2016 Peugeot 408 1.6 Turbo. Recently I experience something funny with the car and would like to seek fellow sifus advice. Let's say if my car fuel is half or less than half tank, with that if I take a right turn at moderate speed of about 50 to 70 km/h ( like turning off from highway), my car will pull back, for 1 sec or 2, it feels like no power and going to stall, but recovers. This doesnt happen when I make a left turn, or if the fuel is more than half tank. I suspect that it could be my HPFP, yet to get it checked at workshop due to PKP. I hope sifus here can enlighten me a bit. Im sorry if this was discussed earlier in the forum, Im new in this platform.

Yes I did that too, actually still running on series 50. But the next tire chg Im getting back the series 45. I agree it's more comfortable now, but The steering feels a bit heavier than normal, also at higher than 150, it loses a bit of stability. I miss those sharp corners now

Just to share, today I went to Bros Auto because my pug ABS sensor kong .
After diagnose, found both my rear sensor kaput. RH is permanent fault whereas LH is intermittent, to be on the safe side, I changed both.
Now waiting for the forward to fail also

Oh yeah, sorry I missed out that. They suspect it's the low pressure pump based on the symptoms. But it's not failed permanently, so I think Im just gonna use till it's gone . Gotta maintain my car fuel more than half tank all the time. Anyway my pug both the low and high pressure fuel pump is still stock, havent been replaced yet

Do you really think it's the HPFP? Im well aware this is a recall unit and mine is not changed yet. But my symptoms are only when im taking a corner, so it's the shift of the fuel in my tank that makes the low pressure pump to stop working for a moment ( or lose vacuum). HPFP is mounted near the engine right, and if Im not wrong, this HPFP mainly for high pressure demand and wont be affected by the shift of the fuel in the tank. Well all this diagnose was done by the mech at Bros Auto. Please tell me if im right bro
Yea heard about the changeover. Kia is also going through similar chg now. Currently got few issues, those free services that were promised when u purchased KIA car can now only be claimed at the same outlet where you bought the car. And warranty claims for any component will also take longer time to process. My wife drives a KIA

Thank you you two. I went to kings of rim and met Jeff. He showed me 3 options for our car. All 3 looked better than my stock rim😄. So i took the matt black ones. I like the look of my car nw. I mean i like it more now la😬😬. This new rim offset is +25, compare to the stock +32. So it is not so inside the wheel well now. I'll share some picts later.

Actually i had this worry when i had the fault code very recently. It was the famous ESP n ABS fault code. Apparently it can be the ABS sensors or the ECU itself😰
But thank God it was two rear ABS sensors. From that diagnostic check, i know ECU has got no issues...yet. but if fuel pump, especially low pressure ones fail, no fault code will be generated. U just cant start yr car anymore😅😅

Sifus, my front absorbers are making the squeaking sound whenever I go over the hump. What will be the damage to get this replaced? And do we install the same type of absorbers or there are better options for our pug? I always wondered if 2.0 and 1.6T 408 are using the same absorber or not? Cz I know 2.0 feels softer n more comfort(from my testdriving years ago). So the stiffness in our 1.6T is bcz of different spring rate? Or our entire suspension system is different from 2.0? Appreciate some information on this

Actually I wanted the gloss black finishing, but they had no stock, this matte black looks nice too. The brand is TCK Racing, specifically model 247.

Is it possible to have comfort and good handling, i think 407 falls in this handling criteria right? Any speciality shop i can go to get a good suspension set up? Can Bros Auto do this?

Yea i just retrofitted my headlamps. Keeping fingers crossed that it won't get noticed by the authority. Lolz.

Hahaha actually you are right, I go thru so many road blocks but police dont care also. But at the same time I dont wanna cari pasal with JPJ also.
I actually did it myself. Only hard part is to remove the lense, I use hair drier only, hahaha. Oh, and be sure to get the sealant ready if you gonna diy. Cz when u reattach the lense, u need to apply new sealant, if not sure moisture will get it. And also, be very careful with the plastics parts of the light assembly, can easily crack.

You really think so? I've been contemplating on this. Yes I did gain comfort with series 50. At the same time I also felt slight loss of stability at corners (but i still tekan/layan corners from time to time lolz). Maybe bcz my tires are touring tires. Ok SKYjack, i think I'm gonna follow your advide, maintain series 50, but maybe get a better perfomance tires (been thinking about MC6 or SP4).
