Bro did you call SC Kajang at 03-8741 9088, 9188 or 9288 ??

We're not closed today. Even Last Friday open also. LOLZ

Sorry,, my mistake. I assume all SC in S'gor should be the same since the Nasim Balakong was closed. Should have called.

Anyway, I visited the MN Otomobile at Kajang this morning and got it sorted out. It was the faulty turbo regulation electrovalve that caused the error and lost of power. Diagnosis took about 2 hours and part changed within 5 mins.

I must say the front desk staffs and mechanics are well trained, friendly and helpful. I'll be there again during my next service. Kudos to MN Otomobile.
Bye bye Balakong Nasim.

Most important part. Total damage = RM567.52 (parts) + RM66.78 (labor) inclusive of GST.

By the way, saw this promo while at SC.

Ermmmmm....I did my coating and it is coming close to 2yrs already. And my coat is still good. Of course scratches is inevitable and coating is not scratch proof. Coating is just meant to make the car look cleaner for a longer period. Example, i wash my car every week and everytime after wash, it really looks like it just got polish and waxed. Also, water doesnt stick to your car that easily hence reducing the watermarks. Also, stains and dirt all comes off easily.

But then again, you still need to take care of it after coating la. With coating, it doesnt mean you no need clean your car and take care of it. And every now and then, must go for treatment to sort of like replenish the coat.

But again, each to their own la......

Good to hear your problem solved. As I predicted, it wasn't carbon deposits! The cost of repair is reasonable. Is this an authorised service centre. Was the repair claimed under warranty.

If it is a independent workshop, pls post address & contact. Will come in handy, since the appear competent!

It's an authorized SC. I have to pay since it's out of my 3 years warranty coverage. But still reasonable.

Myabe bro Lucifal can share more details of the SC.

We're doing it differently with Peugeot that's after the stipulated Warranty. Our SOP is to offer customers 2 solutions being 1 Standard Peugeot Genuine Parts & Process. The other being the alternative solution (but without the part warranty). However, customers need to agree to it so that we can proceed.

Here's a Location Map of our Peugeot 4S Centre.

True also. Back to the lasting effect. It is varied due to few other factors such as car is parked at covered carpark mostly, how frequent the car is used(some people just drive to office, park under covered carpark and drive home when sun is set.) My car is almost 85000km now with 3.5years ownership. Car is not parked under covered carpark mostly due to nature of work. Cant afford to wash car on weekly basis. More over car paint is in white. sad.gif

Once u missed out that weekly wash, dust started to penetrate the coat which makes it hard to wash off. Thay is why i find it troublesome. To keep the coating, i cant wash off the black color on the coating. The water beading effect is there but it looks okd and dirty. To wash it off, i have to press harder when washing which will make the coat gone due to minor scratches when pressure is applied.

Conclusion is troublesone to maintain than before coating.

HI

When changing gear before driving from P to D, R, can we hear the sound from the bonnet - the sound is very audible when windows are down. As I move the Gear Nob, I can hear the sound (something like Click/Tab) from the bonnet area...thanks

I am not sure about the coat you use. But my car also park outdoor and also is white. I dont seem to have the problem of getting ride of the black marks and water marks you mentioned. Dont think dust can penetrate it that easily though. Other stuff perhaps la. Just water and soap, then all get rid already. The water beading effect will lessen eventually and the shine also. That is when you must go for the treatment. I used to wash it every week but the past few months, is like 2 weeks once due to shitty weather and also busy. Still good though.

Like to discuss the alternative solution without warranty.

Is the customer allowed to bring his own parts and oil. Which means pay for workman ship only. I'm coming up for oil change and would also like to change front brake pads. Have already bought oil, filter and pads.

The service center that fixed your car. In you post you said you took your car to MN Otomobile in Kajang. If it is the same one lucifal has said, then ok, he has given contact number.

Confusion was that lucifal did not mention MN Otomobile, so I thought you went to another SC.

My belt broke and after a while all electronics warning popped up, ac off, finally lost all power, emergency lights didn't work, power steering gone, and glided to side of road. Luckily I was not driving long distance and fast.

Could be a blessing in disguise, next week I am going long distance with family.

Sent in to CSL, hope they can get it fixed by tomorrow sad.gif Probably will cost me < RM2k.

Good to hear that you and the car are OK.

How long the belt has been running with the engine?

My car is about 2 years 4 mths now. Its 38k km now and 50k service due in 2 weeks time.

So I still don't know what went wrong, except this is my luck. SC told me only happens like 1 in every 100 car, could be a gut feel number.

Fan belt snapped in less than 40kM doesn't sound positive. Typical periodic replacement for fan belt (not including the timing belt that runs the cam pulley) is 60kM. It makes me think of either component driven by the belt is too restrictive or the belt tension is too high.

And in this 3rd country, most of the workshops (I'm directing to authorized workshops), the service receptionist are generally not technically competent which is why sometimes you would notice many service receptionist don't have mechanical or mechatronic background what's more automotive.

The distributor which has been having transmission plagued with issues here is also having those service receptionists.

The next time when you visit the workshop, you might want to talk to the owner or the director, incompetent service staff starts from a incompetent team leader.
