2 days ago my car was having continous strong pullback during gear change 2 3 and 4. Only smooth when driving.in 5. It as though cannot move and then it pull forward jerkingly. At that time the fuel.was low.but.no warning yet. After full.tank there is no prob. I think HP fuel pump gone again. It was changed around May.

Please refuel your car before warning light on to keep your HPFP healthy.

Thanks for the advice bro.

But is it acceptable since even after warning light, we still have a about 6 liters of fuel.

What I am trying to say is that while it is good to do what you and the SC have requested but is this an acceptable quality of HPFP? My car cannot simple stop middle of the road or have this pull back while I am driving when I still have fuel. Does all other car behaves the same way?

Did you change HPFP before?  I am surprised this has happened cos this is a redesigned HPFP to cater for lower quality/grade of fuel than ours. Certainly not acceptable! It can be very dangerous, especially when you are overtaking.

Hi Bro.

Changed it around May or June when the car broke down completely. Have highlighted to them previously transmission not smooth but nothing has been done yet. I have an apt for other prob...got ggrrrrr sound on RPM1500 and now when car stationery also. Also brake got sound when full stop and release. I have sent an email.to clic abt the HPFP issue also. My full tank RON97 and car very sluggish.

I remember you already replaced the HPFP long time ago... I don't think the HPFP fail again.
Repeated issue/failure, i advice you to report to CLIC.
BTW, good luck bro.

Yeah bro got it replaced last time. Sent in my car to Glenmarie on Friday. Maybe get back tomorrow. Will keep informed of progress.

HI Guys

I got my car last week. The sound at RPM1500 have been resolved. It seems the some cover was loose. Now ok.

However, still having the problem whereby when petrol is down qo quarter tank, there are minor pullbacks kicking in. However when the meter shows fuel for around 60km, serious pullback happens dangerously. They didn't rectify it. They are say it happening because when they change the HPFP to a newer version, the electronic mapping not compatible. The car was pulling badly yesterday and stopped twice before I re fueled to half tank. Have written to CLIC. They are aware of the prob but still waiting for reply!

I got the same issue of pullback of 3 second at one time and mostly 1-2 second. Yup, it is very dangerous. Hence now I'm always refuel when my petrol down to half tank to full tank to avoid a this to happen.
*
Hi

Why don't you write to CLIC also. So they know there is an actual problem.

As per my observation, I have the pullback gentle ones when below half tank. On quarter tank pull back starts to kick in. Funny something like been programmed at this level.

When, meter shows around 60KM to get, it gets worst. Car stopped twice on Tuesday.

After several email, they called me today. They told me to come over when my petrol goes down so that they can test drive it.

Extremely dangerous if you are driving on fast lane with quarter tank to go. When your pull gets worst...I mean at what fuel level?

they changed your HPFP to a newer version? or the current one in our car is the latest version?

Hi

I think they have changed to the latest version after it was damaged around May/June. They did say it may be due incompatible system

You mean the previous HPFP was a wrong one for this engine?
*
I think what happened is when my car broke down the last time it was due HPFP. When they changed it, I think they have a new version and they fitted the new version to my car. The new version don't seem to be compatible with our car I guess.

Not very surelah bro - confused already! sad.gif

It get worst when tank less than quarter. Half tank don't seem to have any problem, but when down to qaurter....then it happen! I went to Setia Alam SC and they have had seen the issue I had, just need to arrange one whole day for them to test. Will have to arrange a day thou..
*
Our issue is identical. When you bought the car and did they change the HPFP recently? Or you been having the prob since purchasing the car?

Hehe.... ok ok. My guess is they fitted a wrong one by mistake cos EP6CDT & EP6CDTM look exactly the same. You are the only one who has had HPFP failure after it was changed.  Straight away I guessed something not right. Of course they won't admit mistake, just confuse by saying not compatible.

If not compatible, why fit it in the 1st place....... hehehe..... see how they cover up their mistake! Anyway hope your problem is solved.
*
Hmmmm. ok. Let me see what they say and what they do. Will keep you guys updated incase same prob in future.

By the way Munhwa having same identical problem.

Hi Guys

I gave my car for service last Saturday and still in Glenmarie because of the issue I informed you guys before. I called them today to ask for status. It seems the main technician said the continuous pull back is due to engine ECU and waiting for approval to be replaced.

Also, the items are recalled - Temp Sensor and Water pump. Getting worried the minute they touch this parts other issues will crop up.

Just keeping you guys informed in case you have similar problem

No issue with the fuel pump?

What issue with the coolant temperature sensor and the water pump?
*
My HPFP already changed a few months ago. I am not sure some.other prob caused the ECU to malfunction but they are changing the ECU.

Temp sensor and water - i got no issue currently but it seems my batch is under recall for this items. Will ask further when I collect the car. The thing is they never call to update status.

The vehicle pull back effect is not due to the fuel pump but ECU? After the fuel pump changed, did you encounter the same symptom?

Seems life they still have a very long way to go to improve the quality of service.
*
About 6 months, I had pull back only when the fuel is very low which was understandable. Once the car stopped on gentle hill near Pantai Hospital and could only go in reverse. The car didn't move forward even after putting petro of few liters. The car just fall in reverse when the gear was engaged to "D". But in reverse, you can control the car. At the same time all the error messages appeared. That's when they changed the HPFP

The car was ok for a couple of days then started having pull back even there was petrol. In September, they told it may be due to the latest HPFP they fixed may not be compatible with the computer system. Not sure how far it is correct but a quick check with the Mercedes mechanical school said it may be possible.

The annoying part was when I complained in September, my Petrol was in half tank. I asked them to drain the petrol and test it out but they refused and asked me to bring back when the petrol is low. When I did last week, the car stopped once but managed to restart but pulling all they endangering me!

They never did call me since last Saturday. When I called them on Thursday, they said it is due to the ECU and waiting for approval and most likely I can get the car on Saturday. Until today no call back.

So, I need to start my complain writing to the TOP continuously like how I did when I got car! :-(

Hi, is it common that krat krat sound occur when turning the wheel while breaking. SC claimed is normal! And also I did post before where I can hear wee wee sound when ever I turn my wheel. Not sure what to do to get rid of all these annoying sound! Can advice pls
*
Most SC use the word Normal. I dont know what they mean. Do they mean it is normal for any car to have the said problem or its a.common defect with Peugeot. If.it is the latter then theu must do something.to rectify..They shouldnt hide behind the word Normal.

Just tired of these guys

Hi Guys

Just to keep you guys updated. My car finally came back. The ECU was changed and costs around RM4335 - Under Warranty. Also did the 1 year service which came to around RM480. Car is smooth now. My wife pushed to 170 and the car was smooth.

The temperature sensor and water pump changed under "Recall".
