What's wrong with charging devices through notebook port?

erm in my case, the device kept on prompting to allow/unallow the computer to access the device. there's no disconnected charging thou..

its like device connected, disconnected, connected , and so on... and the system sound too

Msata m550 128gb primary drive
Room temperature, no aircond

Today the left fan dead again. CPU @71C during CSGO gaming. the right fan functioning properly. I am so going to downgrade back to Windows 8 and see if it fixes the issue.

I have no idea what could possibly did this. fn 1 set fan spd to max but the left fan still not working. guess it dead.

edit: Opened the back cover. Tried adjusting for any possibly loose of connection with left fan. Power on my pc and it started to work again. Is it possible left my z5 power on for overnight caused this?

If possible can we can check your laptop for this?

Need to enable HIPM/DIPM in order to achieve the low temp, before that it constantly stay at 5x c when just idle and once it goes up to 6x during load.

Got extra msata you willing to let go with cheaper price? I still got another slot.

Got to agree with the msata instead of m.2, it is confirmed that it going to be replace by m.2

Currently got one m550 n two mx200 .all new n All 250gb.
Got the mx200 because it has dynamic write accelaration. Also on desktop my two mx100 500gb raid 0 real world performance i think is faster than my corsair neutron xt 500gb raid 0 n neutron gtx 250gb raid 0.

M550 gonna give to my mum laptop.

I would already be there if I could haha. This is just a temporarily solution for me as I am not really sure what's the problem. This laptop has been visited SOHO 2 once if you still remember. And it took me big effort.

If there is difficulty to send in your laptop, you can also send in the fan and heatsink only, we can check the fan and heatsink first.

The fan is temporarily working well right now. Do you know what's the usual temperature of SSD while operating?
I got mine running on 63C. (The palm rest feels hot).

how do i get the battery to not charging mode?

i have tried
1. switch on power - plug in, and then turn on z5, battery at 95%, it will remain a few sec not charging mode, then it will switch to charging....zzz

2. plug in, restart, battery 95%, cant, restart again, still cant remain at not charging mode...sien dy...how ar?

i'm suspecting you have a faulty power cable. have you checked your 3-pin power cable? perhaps, try swapping cables with friends (note: NOT WHOLE POWER ADAPTER, just the POWER CABLE) to test it.

if you found out it's faulty, you can either get the replacement fuse (if there's one in your cable) but be sure to match the ampere capacity (10 Amp might work when replacing a 13Amp fuse, but generally it is NOT SAFE)

or,

if you are getting new power cables, i recommend to get ones with fuse. normal no-fuse 3 pins will do but we are unsure when a power surge might happen

another, warranty wise. ive been told every illegear owner have registered their personal details n when it comes to warranty claim event, illegear only honor the original owner to processed the warranty claim. is this true that 2nd hand owner will not have the privilege to make warranty claim?
