hi friends,

glad i found this thread. got few questions to ask since im considering to purchase a z5, 4mth used unit, for rm4800. is the specs n price ok for used unit?

i7-4720
16gb ram
500gb sshd
gtx 970m
15inch fhd
win 10

another, warranty wise. ive been told every illegear owner have registered their personal details n when it comes to warranty claim event, illegear only honor the original owner to processed the warranty claim. is this true that 2nd hand owner will not have the privilege to make warranty claim?

thanks in advance.

I got mine last month with spec of 8gb ram, additional 128gb msata ssd, the rest same, which cost me 6k, I think this should be a good deal.

Warranty wise, you can register the device under your name, details you can refer to illegear website under warranty section.
*
thanks for ur reply. yea im pretty happy with the price he/she quote me. but my concern is the warranty since i believe the owner already used his/her name to register into illegear website.

im quite skeptical about re-register the item under my name. maybe i shud call illegear directly and inquire. but I doubt it can be done. humm

Hi moodswingfella.

After 90 days we are unable to amend any billing details. Please ask the original owner to send a letter to us for authorizing the transfer of ownership, I can waive the fee for you if the letter is presented.
*
cool. will get the letter from the original owner then. is there any additional details u need for the transfership boss?

For me it's sufficient because I use my laptop for gaming and light office work using word and outlook only... I also install 2-3 game only at a time and the others game that I dont play i store it at my external hdisk same goes to my movie, song etc..

Gaming.. 512gb to 1tb is min.

128gb is good for windows n programs n temp workspace drive

Coomerial Ssds performance slows down as you occuppy more. Only SLC ssds dont n that cost an arm n leg for 512gb.

Mx200 has a dwa tech that uses a slc tech to ensure its way better than other ssds

Get mx200.
*
thats why. currently only have 500gb sshd, made it 2 partition only got 230ish gb for games and movie lmao.

hummm, i have nno idea bout slc ssds dwa or err whatever u call it. but my fren recommend me to get dat mx200 too.

Tried Fallout 4. Crash if full screen. Can run in windowed mode.
Upgraded graphic driver.
Anyone know any solution?

But again maybe it is because of my version's issue.  sweat.gif

Seriously? Previous I think I asked also before but iinm princej asked me to reinstall at front page. Just scared the current programs I have can't run or some problems with hardware cuz driver issue
*
yup im serious. snce my nephew went for further study he let me use his laptop. during first time i received the laptop it has win 8.

im not an it savvy, i know i wont be keen to reflash bios, install driver so forth and so on.

then i upgrade to win 10. buy key, activate and... thats it. since then i just let windows download latest patch. oh, and I remember i also download the latest nvidia driver for my gtx970m.

so far no issue on wireless connection. can gaming online or offline.

so far i havent met with any issue lah. finger cross it keep this way smile.gif

Hi iruka,

Where are you from?

For carry-in warranty, you have to mail in / carry in the laptop on your own for servicing.

For onsite service, ILLEGEAR will either assign tech person to your house for servicing or arrange pickup from your place.
*
if i take carry in warranty, tech person can come to my place for dust cleaning and re apply thermal paste too? shakehead.gif
