Hi guys. I just got my 1.6 CVT yesterday. biggrin.gif
But i found 2 problems already:
1. Bluetooth phone call receiving problem. Already picked up, but the HUD still ringing blink.gif
2. Right rear seat unable to lock back after folded it down. Tried using force few times but it still won't lock. vmad.gif

My salesman already state the problem in the delivery order. But in the end he says service crew no time to check on Saturday shakehead.gif

These problems seem minor, but what else can i do other than take leave to check on weekday?
Is there any other sc i can walk-in to fix these?

Took a drive to the seaside today. Ventured into the sand, nearly got stuck but the Traction Control kicked in. Could see the light illuminate and the engine power reduced. Kinda scary but it did its job smile.gif

Hi guys, I'm a bit late to the party I believe.

I just ordered an Iriz 2015, 1.6 Premium Manual. Supposedly it will be ready for pickup on Tuesday the 29th.

I'm very excited to drive this car, I test drove the 1.3 model and I'm very much looking forward to getting my 1.6. Everyone's reviews and experiences so far seem to be very promising and I certainly hope it will be the situation with mine.

Checking out the pictures of the Iriz online and seeing them in the streets, I'm a bit disappointed about Proton's decision of using yellow headlights. My solution is to at least get some white bulbs for it, but I don't have my car yet so I don't know which bulbs does it use.

Can anyone tell me what are the light bulbs for this car? The main lights behind the projectors, the fog lamps and the small tiny lights at the grill which are set on the first position of the light switch, please?

Thanks guys!

Isn't it in auto you press the accelerator based on ur needs. Sorry, Im not familiar with driving auto as Ive only driven auto twice(test drive iriz 1.6 and drive friends myvi).

Jam theres several ways to counter it. For me I tend to only release the clutch and let the vehicle move. If very jam then keep switching to N. If you dont press accelerator much(kinda like tailgating people during jam) then its more relaxing on the leg and also petrol saving. Leaving some space between u and the front guy does as I said.

cheers for the manual tips, must remind myself to get a manual car in the future =P

Try driving with the rpm at at least 4000rpm and maintaining it there when you want to vroom vroom. For a slight vroom vroom, 3000 to 3500 rpm should suffice biggrin.gif

I never floored the pedal, cause no need to. 4000rpm gives us the car's max torque.

i see, cheers bro, can't wait to bring this car vroom vroom

Highway kosong today. It's true that when the engine goes to 4k+ RPM, the engine gives a different character sound.

Of course logically it'll sound different because rev tinggi, but it's uniquely different than original sound.

First time bawa Iriz "lari lari di padang" since day 1.

correct me if i am wrong but it is because it is an inline 4, after a certain RPM a faster response will come out unlike a V engine.

I too have bluetooth issues (music randomly drops). i suggest taking a video if possible to show them and when you go to SC, talk to the person in the garage who your car is assigned to. when i was in SC to rectify the problem, I just told the SA my issue, I assume they just did a general bluetooth test via their device as they declared that there was no issue but the problem still persists.

Hey guys, in general, those who are experiencing Head Unit problems, i've wrote an email to Blaupunkt Malaysia previously, we agreed to meet up at Service centre in Sungai Besi.

When the Blaupunkt Representative came to check my Head unit *volume drop issue and other stuff* , they kept saying its normal. I asked them how can it be normal? there's something wrong with the software, either release an update or fix the issues on behalf of all of us.

The Blaupunkt crew insisted nothing is wrong, also mentioned they have done acoustic test and said this is a 4 speaker sound system and this is how it works and blah blah. I told him my other vehicles are equipped with 4 speaker sound system as well but it doesnt experience shitty music quality like our head unit.

In the end, there's nothing much Proton can do except to probably not take Blaupunkt as their regular supplier in the future.

I hope this clarifies on the issue 1.6 owners are having with the head unit sad.gif

Disappointed with the "yellow lights"? These are very normal for non-luxury cars. The "white lights" you're referring to are LED/HID lights which are generally only found on luxury or high end cars, because they are very costly.

Even now, you'll find some lower end Mercedes and BMWs with the "yellow lights", because the LEDs are expensive and reserved for the higher end models. Some have a mixture of both (position and headlamps are different types). When the LED ("white") bulb needs replacing, you'll be crying when you find out how expensive it is.

At least, the Iriz is using projector headlamps, not the ancient reflector headlamps so I'm not sure why you're complaining. The new Myvi and City are still using reflectors.

Regardless, I understand that they are stylish so I don't blame you if you want to change it to the "white lights". Just hope you do it according to JPJ specifications because I've seen a lot of owners changing to HID bulbs but they're MUCH too bright, and not aligned properly so they shine directly into oncoming traffic.

Yeah, i agree with the projector headlamps.

It is very 'concentrated' and bright despite 'yellow'.

Woohoo! Congrats, happy to know you're officially an owner! biggrin.gif

I had a problem with bluetooth call too. I gave up and just used the normal bluetooth handsfree kit instead.

Did you check if seatbelt got in the way when folding back up the rear seat? Happens to me quite often.

I tested this on my way back home from work earlier. It does sound a little different, but i don't know what to feel about it. Hahaha. More excited at the fact that traffic was light today tongue.gif

Yeah at certain point, the RPM will suddenly jump to 4k+ and that is one i felt the max torque.

I didn't floor the pedal, i gradually press until full throttle. Syiok when straight highway, no traffic, no cars, 3 lanes. Lol

Yay Thanks. Really happy to join this party. rclxms.gif
To me bluetooth call problem is not a big deal. But the rear seat is the showstopper sad.gif
Yea I kept the seatbelt away when I tried folded it back up, but still no use.. ohmy.gif
The problem getting worse after I pumped fuel today. The cabin smells like fuel tank...doh.gif
Not sure if this is related to the unlocked rear seat rclxub.gif

certainly not due to the seat. I had that problem from time to time. Nowadays no more. I assume it entered when doors open or from AC?

yes, from prev posts happened at me oso, I sent it to SC and they tightened the dash n now no more rattling, the manager told me so far his SC gt 4 cases d, and most is same reason dashboard rattle against windscreen.

by the way ppl, anyone pumped  n tested 100 euro 4 so far?? I tried it and noticed a bit more power after driving... or is it just my imagination :-P

Alright. Haha. Until next time I gi sc then.

2 things to sort out.

Dashboard tattle against win screen and Something thunk sound at the back when going over bumps .

I like 4k rpm.. max torque. . Cut cars nice. Though only 1.3.

I reckon 1.6 would be amazing...

Was driving at LATAR highway, man this car is awesome. Wasn't flooring the pedal, next thing i know 160kmph already.

Very smooth at high speed, solid handling at high speed too. Steering becomes heavier at high speed.

To all new owners and future owners, you won't regret.

There's no need for condescension, I'm fully aware of the cost of those lights. This is the reason why I got a cheaper car, so I could invest in higher end accessories and replacement parts and not dump everything on the car only.

I know there are specific parameters to be followed in the event one wants to do such changes. Also, I know that those are HIDs and/or a combination of LED and HID. However, I meant changing the bulbs for bulbs of a different color temperature. I wasn't intending on installing HID lights, I just wanted to get some OSRAM blue bulbs or Phillips 5000K blue. Just a color temperature difference. So, no major changes there.

I used to own a 1.3 Myvi SXi and I had a cool white bulb installed on it, no modifications. I just want to know which type of bulbs are installed so I can find them over the weekend and install them when I get the car on Monday or Tuesday, please.

Thanks rclxms.gif
