Hello guys,

Well cut to the chase, what is the main reason you guys choose Iriz over Myvi or any other cars that fall under the budget ?
*
i drive both myvi 1.3 lagi best and 1.6 cvt iriz daily and i like iriz more

safety
prefer european styling than ahbeng japenis ricer style
better handling and suspension setup
more comfortable during long journey

bro
i tot i mentioned that b4
rev limited to 3k at P N
u could not rev more than 3k in N and P, logically to prevent ppl dump the gear and gg the fragile cvt

Don't have petrol smell inside the cabin after fuel up full or otherwise

look like need another visit to SC to rectify this problem

btw, just drove my iriz aroudn hilly road late afternoon just now, wonderful experience. the cvt clutch is getting better now. the jerkiness is almost non-existent after owning the car for 6 months. throttle lag is still thr tho and i dont think it will improve as it need more than adaptation of the system.

I do sometimes have this issue. I would assume its the air from outside masuk. Btw earlier when I was fuelling up, when I max the pump speed, the little hole at the fuel area  kept spitting out fuel. I had to reduce the pump speed cuz of that. At the end there was some fuel residue at the top of the hole.
*
Hmm.. mine does not have any fuel spitting out, did not notice any spillage after the pump is returned. That is why i am puzzled why this fuel smell keep on coming inside and disappeared after awhile. i scare my air ionizer spark will ignite the vapor and goes kaboom

Took a drive to the seaside today. Ventured into the sand, nearly got stuck but the Traction Control kicked in. Could see the light illuminate and the engine power reduced. Kinda scary but it did its job smile.gif

u gave me an idea whr to test my TC whether functioning or not safely now

I dont have the HU but my recommendations are:
1. Large icons for easy pressing while driving.
2. Android 4.0 for more app support.
3. No disabling wifi(when releasing handbrake or something).
4. Google maps bundled and several useful apps.
5. Remove all unnecessary bloatware.
6. Responsive.
*
haha
that would be beyond the help of new launcher.. we need a 3rd party rom for these changes

yes i know about the 4k rpm sound, i've already been there tongue.gif

But going downhill and having that sound just doesn't feel comfortable for driver and passengers.. and further, going downhill and having to press the gas pedal just to reduce engine braking is just so stupid and unnecessarily increases fuel consumption. Haih..  sweat.gif
*
me too dislike the aggressive engine braking but that is the characteristic of punch cvt, just made me nervous even tho i know it would not do any harm at 3k rpm.. just have to live with it..

last saturday got one axia keep on cucuk me from behind while i enjoying cruising on a hilly road. No mood to play with him.
What an idiot, just when he tot his 1.0 have enuf torque to challenge a 1.6 engine when going uphill, i said 'eat my dust noob!', stepped on my pedal and leave him to play with my smoke. i keep on looking back my rear view and laf while his ego vanished like his car in my mirror

make sure the road is not downhill first..

i asked her that question too, she said confirm no downhill, constant throttle ..out of sudden, rpm increased. wish that i could observe all those thing personally at that time to know better. you know woman insensitivity when it comes to this kind of thing. from now will start to observe this behavior. hopefully it is a one off

What is CVT clutch slip? Is it dangerous if happens while driving? Will it damage the transmission?
*
happened only when you have faulty AT while cruising.
else you should not be worry about that at all

QUOTE(LordDenning @ Nov 15 2015, 12:20 PM)
hope so too. But if anything, at least there's warranty to cover.
*
gb warranty same as engine warranty 5 years or gb 3 years only for 5 years warranty one?
