Need advice on what can be done:
My sister ordered a few dresses and some personal stuffs (no battery, not sex toy or contraband item) via Taobao Global Direct. Total cost inclusive of postage is about RM433.
It got seized by customs after it arrived in Malaysia, stuck at 【海外】送关 status.
Contacted COE after one week 【海外】送关 and was told it is stuck in customs.
My usual way of following up with customs doesn't work, cannot settle from our side somehow, COE said they will take charge and my sister only need to wait.
Since then got a few times COE from China phone my sister asking about the contents of the items etc. which is a bit weird since it's just clothes and some stuff for girls la.
Then one month later got one person whatsapp my sister using Malaysian number and said she needs to bank in RM83 on taxes to a tax broker company bank account (idk want to tell the name or not, but the company name starts with Amazing)
The person even gave the correct tracking no. for the item that got seized, so my sister banked in.
Kept messaging for updates and kept blue ticking her. Then one week later they messaged again saying need to pay an additional RM21 for "UPLIFT" charges. Whatever that means.
I reminded my sister to make sure they will issue receipt for whatever charges she paid, but the person on whatsapp keep saying receipt will only be released 3~4 weeks after payment of tax (fishy).
Anyway, the items reached already (ordered since before CNY wtf) and the parcel is opened and resealed, no items missing, a miracle.
But it's been nearly a month since we paid off all the charges, keep messaging the whatsapp no. , keep blue ticking us don't want to give receipt, I contacted COE and they said they are the appointed agent in Malaysia, but I feel that it is unjustified to get taxed RM100+ for a RM433 purchase of clothing and still not getting a receipt.
Should I lodge a complaint, or just suck it up and rely on trusty agents instead next time? At least Malaysian agents can not risk screwing up this kind of thing or their business will get affected by super rage.
Have been holding back on commenting on this matter because don't want to piss off any parties but I have decided to just tell out now.

Any feedback is appreciated.
Feeling quite unlucky because so far we have only used Taobao Direct less than 10~11 times, already kena like this. Will be going back to my agent after this. Such a shame, we could get updated easier via Taobao platform, but the risk of taxation is just too much.
