Maxis isn't so stupid to keep your payment due to them but sell to other 3rd party FI's that will bear the risk instead.

The fact is they will still be bearing some risk coz it's stated the price of the device is added into your bill and not charge to your credit card. Even if they scrutinize your payment record thoroughly as a prerequisite for this plan somewhere down the line there might be some defaulters.

I was on the Surfmore but had to switch to the iValue because of purchasing the iPhone on contract... Was planning to switch back after my contract ends but now that plan is no longer available... sad.gif

Even if they do include these new phones I'm not sure it's a good idea coz if you change phone every year then the phone doesn't belong to you. It's like paying rent and on top of that you need to pay the insurance amount.

Take for example the S6 Edge. According to the zer0lution plan, you pay RM156.00 per month x 12 months = RM1,872.00 and then you need to return the phone to change to a new phone.

If you pay upfront for the phone on a normal contract, say RM2,099 (+GST 6% = 2,224.94) and you use your credit card for a one year installment, then you pay 185.40 x 12 months which is only additional RM29.40 per month (assuming you don't add device protection) and the phone belongs to you. Granted of course, there is an additional year of contract for the normal plan.

If u default, name will be blacklisted at CCRIS.

I guess they won't bother. U still need to pay monthly for a year. If u default, they will blacklist u.

Must buy an insurance coverage plan according to the FAQ.

"The Zerolution premium protection covers all accidental damages, screen cracks, water damage and attended theft. No matter what happens to your phone during the period when you are enrolled in the Zerolution upgrade programme, you will get a new replacement device within 48 hours of making a claim.

You can use the replacement device and return it after the 12th month. This way, you won’t have to worry about your upgrade fee being forfeited even if your phone is damaged."

I am not sure whether the plan is worth it seeing as the prices of some phones has dropped but Maxis maintains their original market prices. An example of this is the Galaxy S6 where some places retail it as low as RM1949. To pay for the phone's rental, the zerolution upgrade fee, insurance and finally your plan would result in the consumer paying an extra RM1000 or more.

Well spotted. I think that's a problem for most Android phones, especially from Samsung. The retail price and the street price differs even at launching...

zerolution from my perspectives.

instead subsiding you a phone and tag you to a contract which cost maxis RM1000 +/- etc if you use most out your plan and complete 2yrs contract.

They do this to offer you an installment plan to own one without paying single cent upfront, at market rrp off course. and you still have to get either MaxisOne plan which not contract bound. no subsiding and ability to pay by installment which we can do it with most credit card.

meaning who earn the most?

the insurance at RM15 monthly is considerable but the yearly upgrade no worth at all esp you need return the phone. I rather sell myself to earn more out of it.

Just found out the upgrade fee is optional but it must go together with protection fee as well i.e. either choose #1 monthly fee or #2 monthy fee+upgrade+protection.

Must also use maxisone plan, cannot choose that ad-hoc data plan 1gb

Dear all,

Maxis Zerolution is a smartphone programme that allows you to walk away with the device at RM0 upfront payment and pay your phone over 24 monthly payments at 0% interest, yet not having to lock yourself down to the same phone and plan for 24 months. You don’t have to wait to complete your 24 monthly payments, you can choose to upgrade to a new phone 12 months later and your remaining 12 monthly payments will be waived. All you need to do is walk into our store after completing 12 monthly payments, return your old phone and choose a new phone on Maxis Zerolution. That way, you can continuously change your phone every year! It’s truly the easiest way to own a smartphone.

For more information, you may refer to our FAQ.

correct me if I'm wrong

Let's say today if I opt for a Note5 (RM93 x 24) + OnePlan 98 (RM98/month) + Zerolution upgrade (RM45/month)

So for the next 12 months I'll be paying (RM93+RM98+RM45) RM236 monthly
Total for phone = (RM93+RM45) x 12 = RM1656

After 12 months, then I'll be able to upgrade to a new phone, let's say Note6 (RM100 x 24)
So I'll be paying (RM100+RM98+RM45) RM243 monthly for my new Note6 together with my existing postpaid plan.
The remaining 12 months remaining payment for my old Note5 is waived, correct? hmm.gif

Also the Premium Device Protection, does it cover accidental lost?
ie: accidentally drop into river/sea, or flushed away in a toilet laugh.gif tongue.gif

Hi greyshadow,

You are correct on this. You may choose to upgrade your device by give us back your Note 5, proceed with new device registration and the remaining payment of the Note 5 will then be waived.

For more information regarding to Maxis Device Protection (MDP) Program, kindly refer to https://www.maxis.com.my/en/personal/device...:phoneinsurance

Thank you

So lets say if I were to choose NOT to change phone after 12 months, I'll be paying this amount:

(Note 5) RM93 x 24 months = RM 2,232. MOP98 x 24 = RM2,352.

Grand total: RM4,584.

Wow.

Hi enriquelee,

Maxis Zerolution policy:

A smartphone programme wherein you are not required to pay for upfront payment but only phone monthly installment at 0% interest with no contract obligation. By completing 12 monthly payments, you may return your old phone and choose a new phone on Maxis Zerolution as an upgrade.

Maxis normal device contract policy:

A smartphone programme wherein you need to pay for upfront payment and you will be bind into 24 months contract. However, any change to be made upon the account, contract penalty will trigger and bearable at your end.

Thank you

Just notice the new iPhone zerolution offer. I'm interested but the deal breaker is 16GB. Any idea if Maxis will offer other capacities?

I'm currently on Surfmore 75 (maxis user for a few years). Can I apply Zerolution for iPhone 6s?

If yes, can I just pay RM100x24 if I opt out of the upgrade/insurance option?

Hi Liquid Snake,

We apologise as the Maxis Zerolution bundled with device and Maxis One Plan. If your SurfMore 75 is changed to Maxis One Plan, there will be no reverse back to SurfMore 75.

You may either take up a new line for Maxis Zerolution or upgrade your current rateplan to Maxis One Plan with Maxis Zerolution.

Thank you

Hi pokemon01234,

Maxis Zerolution is a smartphone programme that allows you to walk away with the device at RM0 upfront payment and pay your phone over 24 monthly payments at 0% interest. However, you don’t have to wait to complete your 24 monthly payments, you can choose to upgrade to a new phone 12 months later.

For new customers joining Maxis for the very first time, you will need to wait for 6 months in order to build your credit rating. After 6 months, we can evaluate eligibility to enroll into Maxis Zerolution and see if you qualify for Maxis Zerolution.

For new customers joining Maxis from other operators, you can qualify for Maxis Zerolution too. During your port-in request, log in to your mobile service provider ‘s e-bill service and present your last 3 month postpaid bill from your previous operator with cleared outstanding and we can may allow you to enroll for Maxis Zerolution after the necessary credit eligibility checks. Your monthly usage at your previous operator should not be less than RM80.

For more information. kindly refer to http://www.maxis.com.my/en/maxis-zerolution.html

Thank you

Nope it is not necessary to you change to contract base. You can get a new device without bound by contract under Zerolution.

Just went to Maxis KLCC to get the 6s on zerolution, but got turned down. They say I have a record for late payment, but I didn't get barred from late payment. Being a MOC also does not help, so I don't see a benefit in it. Well it's not my lost Maxis

Hi KKautocar,

We are replenishing the stock at our Maxis centers from time to time. However, it is a challenge to advise you on the availability of the stock as it is depleting rapidly due to overwhelming demand.

Hi,

No matter what happens to your phone during the period when you are enrolled in the Zerolution upgrade programme, you will get a new replacement device within 48 hours upon approval of claim.

You can use the replacement device and return it after the 12th month. This way, you won’t have to worry about your upgrade fee being forfeited even if your phone is damaged.

Yo...based on my understanding

1. Yes, you need to complete 12months of RM164 payment then only you can opt for new phone change
2. Nope....after you completed the first 12months of RM164 payment and you opt to change new phone with Maxis, then balance of another 12 months of RM164 payment will be waived. The only thing is you have to return your old and good condition phone back to Maxis. Choose your new phone and start again (New phone instalment + insurance for 24months) and same for the subsequent year.

Worth it or not, lets do some calculation
iPhone 6s 64GB Retail price - RM3699

1. Zerolution - iPhone 6s 64GB
RM121 x 24 mths = RM2904

Basically you would save RM795 for your new iPhone 6s 64GB if your current phone bill is RM158 or greater per month if not just refer to the table below
Current Phone Bill -> Save on the device
RM158 -> RM795
RM128 -> RM 75
RM 78 -> -RM1125
RM 50 -> -RM1797

Don't be upset, there is a workaround if your current phone bill is RM50/78 per month and you still want to sign up zerolution because of the flexibility on instalment, you can opt to choose MaxisOne Share 158. How to do it?! I'm sure you have parents and siblings, just try to pick two of them sign up under your sub line in MaxisOne Share 158 (of course that they have to pay you RM53 per month for their usage *1.5GB data and free call to any telco wor....which is not too bad right*)

Now, if you manage to get rid of the phone bill problem not sure whether to opt for the *free* upgrade package

2. Free upgrade + Protection package
As I mentioned, after completed the first 12 months payment of device instalment + free upgrade + protection (RM164 x12mths) you can change new phone Maxis by surrender your old phone back to Maxis
RM164 x 12mths = RM1968
So you spent total of RM1968 to owned an iPhone for 1 year. From the other angle, you don't need to fork out RM3699 to just buy an iPhone but after a year it get depreciate so now you just pay the depreciate price tag which is RM1968 and you can upgrade to a new phone and continue with the new device instalment + free upgrade + protection for another 24mths

Conclusion
If your current phone bill is high enough at least RM158 and greater, keep your eyes close and just sign up tongue.gif

Great to heard that it helps. I spent few hours to understand the entire process of zerolution and try to dig is there any loop hole that we can take advantage...hehe

I found out that sign up zerolution iPhone more worth than Android devices because Android devices depreciate quite a lot if compare to iPhone

Hi beebee,

If you wish to take up a new device without zerolution package, the contract tenure would be either 12 months (for iPhone devices) or 24 months (for all our device offering).

Thank you

Hi exkay,

You could refer to our website (www.maxis.com.my) from time to time. At this juncture, we have the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge.

As a subscriber, I took up the insurance for my Note5 and find it quite an attractive package. There aren't many mobile phone insurers in Malaysia and most come with a surcharge if you break something. Maxis charges me RM23 a month and a 15% replacement fee for damage phone or 50% if I lose the phone but I get a quick replacement (within 48 hours of claim approval). Other insurers only offer to repair the phone which can take ages.

Not too sure about Sam Line but my guess is he never bothered asking the staff or reading the policy when taking up the insurance which is quite baffling. AN insurance policy is not something to be taken lightly and the policy should be read through at least once before signing up as you need to know what to do when something happens. Assumption is the mother of all screw ups. On my end, the Maxis TTDI staff were very happy to answer my queries and let me read through the policy before I signed up.

At the end of the day, do not purchase something you don't know! Ask if you don't know! Research! Everything is available on their website.

Those were the terms given to me when I signed up. So I assume it applies to everyone as Maxis may change the terms and conditions at their discretion? The SA informed if I wanted to cancel, I will have to pay the balance of the phone RRP value to Maxis and to qualify, I will need to be on Maxis128 throughout the duration of the contract.

maxis offers different plans for different customers. For the so called high plan of 158 (unlimited calls/texts, 5GB data), East Malaysians get it at RM 68 and some "selected" West Malaysia customers get it for 68 to 88, depending on their telemarketing team's whims and fancies.

I have learnt my lesson the hard way and will never sign a contract with maxis. Ever. Again.

I think that only applies to the pre-launch promo. Maybe you misinterpreted the T&C? When I checked it out I thought quite straight forward. If you get the S2 gear, then you're stuck with the thing for 2 years. If you don't, then you're free to downgrade your plan. Anyways, why want to tie yourself down for 2 years over a silly watch, which IMO is quite unnecessary.

I'll wait a couple more months before the switch I guess. Pretty sure they will come up with a better offer. I've been with maxis for so long and the oneplan did help cut down my phone bill from around 400 bucks to about 150 a month. And not obliged to sign a contract 1 what. There will always be better packages coming out regardless of which telco. Imagine those guys who sign up for 2 years package with DiGi, all stuck with their pretty expensive stuff while the newer customers/those without contract are enjoying better rates.

Suggest you stay with your plan and try porting out at the end, you may get the same 7GB data for RM88 thanks to maxis' wonderful selective customers plan offering.

Upgrade to 3GB for RM128? Or 5GB for RM158? Anyway, just bear in mind that Maxis offer some customers RM68 for the same 158 plan.

Hi @maxis,

If say I get S7 edge under Zerolution, would I be return the phone at the end of the 12 months if I have unlocked the bootloader/rooted or installed a custom ROM? Or would that constitute breaking the device policy?

Hi,

I would like to know if I want to switch to Maxis Zerolution,
how long do I need to wait to subscribe the Maxis Zerolution plan?

Data Plan : MaxisOne 98
Phone : Galaxy S7 Edge

I need to pay Data Plan (RM98) + Phone Plan (RM114) monthly?

After 12 months, the phone is totally belong to me?
If yes, means 13th month I only need to pay for the Data Plan, no need to pay for the Phone plan right?

The bill will be sent monthly to me to pay as cash or direct charge to credit card?

So I can walk in to any Maxis counter to subscribe the plan and get the phone right away without paying a single cent?

Is there any subline plan which is cheaper than RM48 that without data plan?

Thanks!

Hi,

The lowest plan for Galaxy S7 Edge is MOP128. Hence, the monthly charges for the next 24 months is RM128 for MOP128 + RM114 (device).
The phone is belong to you if you did not subscribe to Upgrade Program & Safe Device but you need to pay RM114 for 24 months.

The bill will be send to you monthly and payment method can be via cash at Maxis counter, online banking & direct debit.
You will get the device immediately subject to availability.

Lastly, may we know if you are an existing Maxis postpaid users or other operators?
If other operators, you need to bring the last 3 months bill and make sure there is no overdue for you to entitle for Zerolution.

Hi,

1) I registered my phone number to my company line since they merge to Maxis FlexiShare. Do I eligible to subscribe to Zerolution plan ?

2) If yes as per question 1, does the term and condition apply the same as per the consumer zerolution?

3) Let's say i took a plan S7E with upgrade only, then on the 13th month, i get new phone but i dont want the upgrade plan. Can i do that ?

4) I saw currently promotion where we get new wireless charger when buying S7e, does this apply for Business Zerolution?

This zerolution appears to look very tempting. I'm currently on Celcom 5gb + 5gb(weekend) data @RM80/month. So monthly I get 10GB @RM80. Same with Maxis ONE plan 128 = 10gb/month.

But lets take a look at this. Lets say I would like to get myself a brand new Samseng S7. Lowest plan for this device is MOP128.

Normally with Celcom I never exceed data usage and the bills are constantly at RM80+gst.

This is my calculation base on Samseng Galaxy S7 device. I did comparison with celcom plan since that is the plan that i'm currently using now.
GST not taken into account. Exact figure can be higher.
Please correct me if i'm wrong.

Option 1
Stay with Celcom and buy a phone.
Celcom plan - RM80 x 12 = RM960
Brand new phone from GEMfive with discount code = RM2111.12
Total for 1 year = RM3071.12

- The phone will be yours. You can sell it anytime if you think you need a new phone.
- Absolutely no contract. ABSOLUTELY. Can terminate anytime without any penalty.

Option 2
With Maxis 12 month new phone program.
Phone RM96 x 12 = RM1152
Maxis ONE plan 128 - RM128 x 12 = RM1536 (Lowest plan for Galaxy S7 is MOP128)
Upgrade program & device protection - RM53 x 12 = RM636
Total for 1 year = RM3324 (not include GST)

- You pay RM3324 but after 1 year when you decided to change new phone, you have to surrender the old one (must be in good condition or you have to pay RM300), and start paying rental again for the new phone. The cycle will continue until you die. Poor soul.

Option 3
With maxis 24 months zerolution
Just buy the phone 0% interest for 24 months
Phone RM96 x 24 = RM2304
Maxis ONE plan 128 - RM128 x 24 = RM3072
Total for 2 years = RM5376

- The phone will be yours.
- 2 years contract. One day within 2 years you realise that Maxis is still Maxshit so you decided to downgrade plan/early termination. You have to pay RRP 2546.23/24 x remaining months. For example, if you decided to terminate after 15 months with 9 months remaining, you have to pay 2546.23/24 x 9 = RM954.8

Obviously Option 2 & 3 are traps for costumer. Please don't fall into this trap.

For me, Option 1 is the best. Peace of mind. So I cancelled my plan to jump ship to Maxis.
Remember, customer always the LOSER. ALWAYS!!!!!!!!!!!!

Disclaimer: I'm not Celcom salesman.

You wanna know something? Not everybody is concern about how much they spend their money. Some of them more concern about the quality of service that they get.
People only knows that so many ported out of Maxis back in April. But what most of the people does not know is that there were a lot of cases whereby those who chose to ported out from Maxis then ported back in to Maxis because of shitty service of other telcos. Only those cheapskates complain a lot.

You might see a lot of complains in Maxis facebook/twitter but at the same time other telcos don't even dare to open up their social media platforms for complains, so you'll see as if there is not much talk on bad service of other telcos.

This is true, especially if you look at maxis Q2 results. Many quietly ported back in with their tails between their legs smile.gif

I didn't port out coz I was under contract but I was also one of those who made helluva noise during the online fiasco - I was paying RM128 for 3GB back then and Sabah/Sarawak was enjoying lower rates. But since maxis moved everyone on the 128 plan from 3GB up to 10GB and closed the gap between Peninsular Malaysia and Sabah/Sarawak to just RM30, I'm a happy camper.

In fact, just signed up for their One Kid plan as well, ha ha ha...

I got some questions about this zerolutions device plan.
I'm currently under MOP158 , 2 years contract that will end in Feb "17.
Can I just participate this zerolutions plan or I have to wait until the contract end?
If I take note 7, the minimum I have to pay is rm101 x24 months + rm158?

Hi James831,

You are allowed to re-contract with a new device if your contract less than 4 month (for 24 months contract tenure).

Thank you

Hi Spawnster & Azurika,

You will need to take up or upgrade to MaxisONE plan 128 and above if you wish to take up Samsung Note 7 under zerolution package with a 24-months of installment. However as at this juncture, we are unable to advise any zerolution fees until its official launch in September 2016. Do stay tuned in our website at that point of time

Thank you

Hi Maxis,

I am using another telco and I plan to switch to Maxis Zerolution soon.

My current plan is higher than RM 80 per month, but there is an overdue in my latest payment (already paid).

May I know if I qualify for this plan?

Hi,

May we know why are you preferring Ivalue instead of Maxis One Plan? You will enjoy more data/benefits with Maxis One Plan.

Thank you.

I went to Maxis OU, asked about the Iphone Zerolution. I need to subscribe to Maxis One first Plan for at least 6 month or 1 year in order for me to entitle for this zerolution.

If I'm a new Maxis One Plan user, I need to pay for the device price and others.

Hi ericalexander,

For new customers joining Maxis for the very first time, you will need to wait for 6 months in order to build your credit rating. After 6 months, we can evaluate eligibility to enroll into Maxis Zerolution and see if you qualify for Maxis Zerolution.

Do refer http://www.maxis.com.my/en/maxis-zerolution.html under FAQ > Who is eligible for Maxis Zerolution for more details.

Hi ave666,

Each device will be tied to a number which will include the commitment fees plus the zerolution charges. e.g

Tel No A = (zerolution charge + Maxis One plan)

Tel No B = (zerolution charge + Maxis One plan)

Hi,

First of all, thank you for our interest. May we know if your past 3 months bill more than RM80 & no overdue?
If yes, kindly bring the latest 3 months bill to the Maxis Centre to apply for Zerolution.

If your past 3 months bill is between RM50 - RM79, we need your credit card to swipe RM300 and reverse immediately upon approval confirmation. Then, you can purchase any mobile device under Zerolution.

Hi,

Yes, you still eligible for Zerolution although you just changed the plan from supp to principal plan.
However, make sure that there is no contract tied to the new principal plan. Otherwise, you are not eligible for Zerolution unless you willing to bear the penalty charges. TQ

How does the calculation comes into play considering i pass the 12months
*
Hi nicholascwy,

If you had subscribe the "Monthly Upgrade Fee" option at the point of registration & already at 17th months installment out of 24 months as of now.
You may walk-in to any of our Maxis center to return your current phone to us & proceed to sign up another new device without any upfront payment or penalty charges

We will waive off the remaining 7 months zerolution installment for your current phone & the new device will be under another 24 months new zerolution contract.

Alternatively, if you didn't subscribe for the "Monthly Upgrade Fee" option or you would like to keep the current phone, you may also finish the 24 months installment for the current phone first & then proceed to sign up the phone device after this.

TQ

Yes, if your monthly bills RM80 and above. You may walk in to nearest Maxis centre for credit eligibility checks.

Hi babycry123,

As per adviced earlier, you may walk in to nearest Maxis centre for credit eligibility checks. Meaning there will be other criteria need to be check as well other than your past 3 months bills. Hope above clarifies.

I am thinking of getting the iPhone 7 128GB with the maxis zerolution plan. If I pay RM138 x 12 months + RM20 (to upgrade the device in 12 months), then lets say iPhone 8/iphone 7S 128 GB is released, can I upgrade the next year? I mean when will I be able to upgrade? the same date in 1 year? and how does the payment continue after that? Also what about the contract, because I will sign for a 24 month contract? Thank you

Based on my previous experiences, you may upgrade to a new device after you meet these 2 requirements:

(i) After the 12th billing cycle; and
(ii) A day after you have completed 12 months from the date of your first Zerolution device purchase.

For your next device, you may opt not to continue for the upgrade and your contract will reset for another 24 months. Regarding the payments, you should be able to get the new monthly rate according to your next Zerolution device selection.

Thanks for the info. So lets say I get the iPhone 7 128GB at RM138 per month, but the next year the iPhone 8 128 GB is 148 per month, that means I just pay 148 per month, or will they not allow me to get the more expensive phone? Thanks

I believe since your contract will reset, you will be required to follow the new price reflected in the Zerolution package for the new device. You can even choose the bigger storage option than your current device.

Maybe Maxis rep could add on regarding this matter.

Yes, you are right if you pair the purchase with yearly upgrade and Safe Device program.
Hence you will be paying RM128/mth for Maxis ONE Plan 128(24mths) + RM160/mth for iPhone 7 256GB (24mths)+ RM20/mth for yearly upgrade (can be disconnected at any time)+ RM23/mth for Safe Device (can be disconnected at any time) :

RM128+RM160+RM20+RM23 = RM331 excluding 6% GST.

Hi epsonstylux,

If you are currently on MaxisONE Plan, paying RM98/mth or above, you can just walk in to a Maxis Centre and choose a RM1 device available for your plan. Do refer https://www.maxis.com.my/en/personal/devices/powerofone.html more details on the offer.

Hi there!

Sorry to hear the unpleasant service experienced. Yes, you are right. Get a mobile device at zero upfront, zero interest, zero lock in period and zero penalty. Pay the mobile device(Zerolution installment) via monthly payment for 24 months which is billed in the monthly bill. More info at http://www.maxis.com.my/en/maxis-zerolution.html

Thank you.

Hi roxx,

Yes, you are right. However, please note that if you are new Maxis postpaid customer / existing customer with less than 6 months tenure / existing customer with bad payment record, you might be subject to device advance payment. Otherwise, it will be just RM1 with 24 months contract when sign up the phone.

Hi there would like to clarify on the zerolution plan. Let's say for example I take a note 8 now and it comes with maxis 128, so I use it for a year then I change to note 9 still under zerolution but can I stop the 128 plan and change to another plan? Or it has to be whatever plan that's attached to the new phone

Hi judahliew,
You need to have MaxisONE Plan in order to sign up for Zerolution, so the total monthly payment is (Phone Zerolution + Rate plan) for 24 months and you can upgrade your device after 12 months provided you pay for the annual upgrade fees, the rest of 12 months will be waived. You may refer to http://www.maxis.com.my/en/maxis-zerolution.html under FAQ session for more information.

Thank You

Hi Subber,

You will need to pay the remaining balance of that 4 month tenure from your existing zerolution at Maxis Centre before you can purchase the pre-order

However how does the new charges work? Do i still pay the same amount like before or it depends on how much the phone cost?

I thought I am the only one that realized it is gone now. I went to Maxis Plaza Sentral to ask for the clarification and they said Apple has withdrawn their approval for the zerolution thing since 19th October. One day before iphone 8 was launched. According to Maxis, they are trying to gain the approval back. Let's see how. hurm

Hi Maxis & fellow users,

I'm a principal maxis one plan.

Can I sign up a share-line (supplementary) for my wife, under me... She port out and join maxis (48/mth) and sign up zerolution program (s8 or note8), if can... The installment will be how much? Since it's not 128plan.

Thank you.

Nothing you can do.
Unless you had the following changed.
1) IC (not possible)
2) Home Address (sell your old house and buy a new house)
3) phone number (change to different number)
4) change phone (new phone has different IMEI number)

For those who signed up for advance payment:

1) It's not a 4 months advance payment. Instead Maxis split the amount you paid in advance to 12 months and deduct them from your bill.
2) If you got outstanding from the previous month, the deduction will not be applied for the month & you'll have to pay the normal amount.

Whether or not the deduction will be carried forward or not, I'm not sure. I'll monitor and update you guys.

Yes. Only CC accepted. And ur limit must be enough to swipe 4.5k.

Meaning to say, u pay 4.5k in advance. So u have 4.5k credit in your account. So u dont have to pay ur bills until your credit finish.

I thought advanced payment is supposed to be like that but for my case it is not (at least I was told I don't have to).
For my case the amount was split into 12 months and I have need to pay every month whatever balance left.

This can only credit into your account if your account is current and no overdue.

Does Maxis ever revised their phones prices under the Zerolution or even the 360 zerolutions plans?

Hi @Maxis
I am planning to get a device under MaxisOne Plan 188 Normal Contract (attached) but I need some clarifications and confirmation on the following:
1. Do I need credit card for MaxisOne Plan 188 Normal Contract?
2. Is there any advance payment or upfront payment for this plan?
3. What is the total amount I have to pay when I sign up for this plan? Device price + anything else?
thanks

2 years ago I got ip7 with zerolution 188 plan with rm80 monthly. But today all phone seems a bit higher for monthly payment. Today's my last payment for my ip7 zerolution and I don't know what phone should I continue the contract. Interested on s9 but monthly payment really expensive compare 2 years ago equivalent with s7 plan. Maybe it's time to Port to prepaid lol.

Hi,

i have 2 questions on this zerolution360 plan. Understand that this is a phone leasing program, where you do not own the phone.

questions:

1) after 24 months, end of my contract, if i still want to continue with the plan, do i still need to pay for the phone monthly commitment + maxis one plan ? or just maxis one plan only?

2) after 24 months, if i do not want to surrender my phone, and i would like to change to another maxis plan (not zerolution), how much do i need to pay for the phone. Assuming my current subscription is on zerolution360 iphoneXs 256GB.

thanks

I'm due for another RM1 phone and I'm planning to get the Samsung A8 Star.

At the same time I want to get iPhone 8 or XR for my mum. Normal contract not instalments.

Is this possible?

Hi,

Would like to know for maxis zerolution, will the device monthly payment reflect in the bill?

I'm asking so because my company is giving phone allowance (claim basis) and hence i am looking for a plan + device that able to utilise the allowance.

Yes, it will be reflected in your monthly bill inclusive of how many months left for you to pay for the phone.

Hi, I'm currently subscribing to Fibre plan + 1 primary phone line RM128. I have a few questions about maxis one prime + zerolution 360 plan.

1) I'm planning to switch my parents number (2 lines) to be my supp line @ RM48 per line and plan to take a new phone. Does the phone contract of 24 months tie to my primary line only? Supp lines are not tie to this contract?

2) If I don't sign up with new phone, 24 months contract is only applicable to fibre plan and not my mobile+family plan, correct?

3) Zerolution 360 plan, if I take Huawei P20 now and pay RM36 per month, after 24 months I can FREE upgrade to any phone I want i.e. the new iPhone in 2020?

4) If I don't surrender my phone after 24 months, what is the buy-out fee I need to pay to keep my phone?
I see this T&C.

QUOTE
19. If you do not return the Device after termination and/or expiry of the Commitment Period, you shall be responsible to pay the following charges: Device remaining balance charge + an additional fee of 25% of the Device Recommended Retail Price (RRP) at the time of your subscription to the Plan(s) + additional administration charges.

So total buyout fee I need to pay for P20:
Device remaining balance charge (after 24 months should be 0?) + RM575 (RM2299 x 25%) + admin charge (how much?).

My understanding correct?

Clarify this T&C, under the maxis zerolution 360 it says 1 to 1 replacement for damage / theft. I was under assumption that the 1 to 1 replacement does not cost anything but I saw this T&C here with processing fees.
https://www.maxis.com.my/en/tnc/personal-tn...ection-tnc.html

Does that mean if i lost my Iphone XS max under the zerolution 360 contract time frame, I need to pay a RM1900 of processing fees just to get a 1 to 1 replacement??

Hi, I'm a foreigner and I'm living in Malaysia around 8 years. Can I apply for this program ( Zerolution360 ) or this is only for local people ?
And how much does it cost for iPhone XS Max 64 GB after finished my contract if I don't want to return the phone ?

Morning Isaac,

Do I have any concerns if I dispose of my iphone 7 which have completed Zerolution 24months contract to other parties? Can the phone be used on other networks apart from Maxis? If there are concerns, kindly let me know asap.

Or in other words, is the iphone 7 that I purchase from Maxis under Zerolutions 2 years ago is same like (comparable) to an iPhone 7 bought from Apple Malaysia which is unlock and can be used with any carriers here.

Thanks.
Maxis

Hi,

If you have completed the 24 months contract and also fully settled the device installment, any carrier can use the iPhone as Maxis did not block it.

Thanks-Ika

Bro, go into maxis website. log in. Then go to the phones/packages section. Pick the phone of choice. If there is a 'Buy Now' button, click on that. IIRC the next page would be further choices for you to choose from, such as package, zerolutions etc. There will a button at the bottom, 'Check eligible'. System will then check your existing contract. If eligible it will say so...

if you want to stop zerolution contract earlier before expiry there will be a penalty that you need to pay!
but if you want to continue another zerolution contract prior to current expiry then not too sure. I wanna know this too!!

Maxis please reply this if we can get a waiver for the penalty since we are loyal customer wanted to continue to extend the contract with another phone package!!!

Best to just walk in to any Maxis center and speak to their reps.

Planning to sign up on the Zerolution360, however i am still having 1 question

How much is the one time upgrade fee or how is it calculated if i were to upgrade my phone at 13months. I have read that the upgrade fee is being calculated per quarterly after 12 month. How much do i need to pay for the upgrade fee.

Thank you
