QUOTE(lznce2679 @ Aug 20 2015, 02:20 PM) They've revised their Maxis One plans - the RM128/month one comes with 3GB data quota now instead of 2GB...http://www.maxis.com.my/content/maxis/en/p...s/maxisone.html Now if only they would bring back Surfmore 75... |

QUOTE(bqio @ Aug 20 2015, 09:56 PM) QUOTE(Problem @ Aug 20 2015, 10:42 PM) Maxis isn't so stupid to keep your payment due to them but sell to other 3rd party FI's that will bear the risk instead. The fact is they will still be bearing some risk coz it's stated the price of the device is added into your bill and not charge to your credit card. Even if they scrutinize your payment record thoroughly as a prerequisite for this plan somewhere down the line there might be some defaulters. |

QUOTE(emino @ Aug 20 2015, 10:50 PM) They can tempt all they want, but I'm going to stick with my Surfmore 75 + Monthly Upgrade 5GB until they come and get it from my grave! Lucky you bro I'm too used to 10 GB data monthly! I was on the Surfmore but had to switch to the iValue because of purchasing the iPhone on contract... Was planning to switch back after my contract ends but now that plan is no longer available... |

QUOTE(fattfatt1818 @ Aug 27 2015, 09:29 AM) QUOTE(chaw1979 @ Aug 26 2015, 09:24 PM) Even if they do include these new phones I'm not sure it's a good idea coz if you change phone every year then the phone doesn't belong to you. It's like paying rent and on top of that you need to pay the insurance amount.Take for example the S6 Edge. According to the zer0lution plan, you pay RM156.00 per month x 12 months = RM1,872.00 and then you need to return the phone to change to a new phone. If you pay upfront for the phone on a normal contract, say RM2,099 (+GST 6% = 2,224.94) and you use your credit card for a one year installment, then you pay 185.40 x 12 months which is only additional RM29.40 per month (assuming you don't add device protection) and the phone belongs to you. Granted of course, there is an additional year of contract for the normal plan. |

QUOTE(botak91 @ Sep 1 2015, 04:28 PM) I am not sure whether the plan is worth it seeing as the prices of some phones has dropped but Maxis maintains their original market prices. An example of this is the Galaxy S6 where some places retail it as low as RM1949. To pay for the phone's rental, the zerolution upgrade fee, insurance and finally your plan would result in the consumer paying an extra RM1000 or more. Well spotted. I think that's a problem for most Android phones, especially from Samsung. The retail price and the street price differs even at launching... |

QUOTE(SonnyCooL @ Mar 20 2016, 11:52 PM) nope actually different ..... maxis offers different plans for different customers. For the so called high plan of 158 (unlimited calls/texts, 5GB data), East Malaysians get it at RM 68 and some "selected" West Malaysia customers get it for 68 to 88, depending on their telemarketing team's whims and fancies.recently maxis come out S7E + Gear S2 (they call it free, so they can choose to give you or not), but with that so call FREE ITEM u need to signup Higher Plan (158) and also NO DOWNGRADE OR CANCEL OR SETTLE full amount + 1000 Penalty for that free item (u might not received it) ... I have learnt my lesson the hard way and will never sign a contract with maxis. Ever. Again. |

QUOTE(Shinyrayn @ Mar 21 2016, 04:56 PM) Currently on maxis plan HTC M8 device. Pay RM199.monthly on 7G data. However, i still have about 6-7 months balance on my 24mths contract. Can i proceed for iphone the zerolution plan? Suggest you stay with your plan and try porting out at the end, you may get the same 7GB data for RM88 thanks to maxis' wonderful selective customers plan offering.I have no dues, pay everymonth diligently. |

QUOTE(SoKoBoko @ Jul 26 2016, 08:38 AM) You wanna know something? Not everybody is concern about how much they spend their money. Some of them more concern about the quality of service that they get. This is true, especially if you look at maxis Q2 results. Many quietly ported back in with their tails between their legs People only knows that so many ported out of Maxis back in April. But what most of the people does not know is that there were a lot of cases whereby those who chose to ported out from Maxis then ported back in to Maxis because of shitty service of other telcos. Only those cheapskates complain a lot. You might see a lot of complains in Maxis facebook/twitter but at the same time other telcos don't even dare to open up their social media platforms for complains, so you'll see as if there is not much talk on bad service of other telcos. I didn't port out coz I was under contract but I was also one of those who made helluva noise during the online fiasco - I was paying RM128 for 3GB back then and Sabah/Sarawak was enjoying lower rates. But since maxis moved everyone on the 128 plan from 3GB up to 10GB and closed the gap between Peninsular Malaysia and Sabah/Sarawak to just RM30, I'm a happy camper. In fact, just signed up for their One Kid plan as well, ha ha ha... |
