I think u can argue for your case as rusty exhaust has nothing to do with your regular service
*
how to argue? they keep saying warranty for exhaust is only 1 year. and its up to their goodwill to give me the replacement. i am seriously fed up with this fking proton

Are you saying that if your scheduled service is at 10,000 km, you have brought in your car with the mileage at 15,000 + km? If that is the case, doesn't sound like "a bit" to me.
*
for example. scheduled service is 6 months later or 10k km later. previously serviced on 23 august 2014 with odometer clocked at 5000km (written by them). then i did my next service on 30 march 2015 with meter clocked at 10885km. although late by weeks but bear in mind im using full syn, synthium 3000. latest service date was 17th october 2015 clocked at 15612km.

just want to know is there any possibility that the mechanics there exchange the exhaust pipe secretly? cos i have sent my car for bumper replacement and kept at the repair centre for 3 weeks. The repair centre is at bintawa, ptoton iteslf. bcos before i send in for bumper replacement my car didnt produce such kind of noise

So you have followed a service interval of 5,000 km for your car with Synthium 3000. I cannot understand why the service interval is 5,000 km for your car when you are using full-synthetic engine oil. I am using Synthium 800 and the service interval is 10,000 km.

For your exhaust pipe, no idea why they said warranty is only 1 year. It is part of the car, it should be warrantied for at least 3 years if not 5 years. THink you better send your car to COSE or lodge an inquiry or complaint on the customer service line.

Like I said, certain service centers really play by the book. Please try other service centers, sometimes the smaller ones are more helpful and understanding.

Or if they have different policy for east Malaysia, then I wouldn't know.

Any malpractice is always possible, either intentionally or unintentionally.

bcos they said 10k km or 6 moths whichever comes earlier. regarding the 1 year warranty, the booklet got stated there clearly. but it's crazy that my exhaust can get a big hole just by 2 years. my dad's 20 yr old van's exhaust still ok.

all these while my car was serviced at their biggest service center in KCH. but still.. shitty service. all ican tell is that the 2 service centres now are pushing blame to each other

Well, I can tell you that exhaust issue is not a common problem among Preve, yours is the first one I've heard.

Condensation in headlights is normal. The question is whether it would go away (evaporate) on its own after a while. See http://www.carlightblog.com/2014/06/24/fog...ultimate-guide/ for more info.

If it doesn't go away, you can certainly have it replaced under warranty. I've claimed both headlights for my Exora before without fuss. I think the technicians did test the faulty headlights first by repeatedly pouring water over them before proceeding to have them changed. You may also want to take some pictures of your fogged headlight to show them.

Yeah, but it should be covered under warranty.

5 years warranty, definitely.

Not sure that's due to the krek...krek...krek... sound when turning the steering eventhought I have replaced to new steering rack still same.

-Preve Premium 2015-

Ha, my 2015 PREVE CFE also have that krek...krek...krek sound when turning the steering. I had also sprayed some high temperature lithium grease onto the steering's "universal joint", but to no avail. I thought of going to check with the SC but since you have already changed to a new steering rack and still the same, I think I'll just live with it. Actually, it's not very obvious and with the radio switched ON, most of the time, you'll not notice it.

As for the steering force, I think it's normal for the PROTON PREVE. Hydraulic power steering will definitely be heavier than those Electrical power steering type.

Exhaust warranty is only 1 year. Short driving distance will cause water accumulation on exhaust. So rust is not uncommon.

It's just a midpipe. Get it done yourself and make your day better.

Does anyone experience rattling sound from the speakers when the music is playing at moderate volume levels with the dial at 9.00 am to 10.00 am on the display? The speakers on my car had begun to show some serious rattling sound when the music, especially the bass hits. Even at moderate volume level.

Identify, is it the rear speaker board or door panels?

If door panel, after winding up, press down briefly. The window is still shut, but with less expansion on door panels, it may reduce vibrations.

For rear speaker board, have to send to soundproofing shop for dampening.

I can turn up to beyond half the volume before panels would rattle. Preve LE has additional door dampening material inside, which Proton didn't tell. Not sure if it makes any difference.

Please no. Just stay with 4300k or lower for higher luminance.

Projector + white halogen is a disaster. You can't see shit especially during rain at night.

I had once thought of macam-macam LED or HID. Real practical reasons, good illumination and economy, stick with standard bulbs. RM20 per piece from Proton, I wouldn't care if it burns every year.

Yeah, after testing many bulbs (and my friend for testing the HID), I found out that normal bulb is more than enough.
