Hello there all preve sifus. My preve turbo recently make a loud squeaking noise whenever I brake at low speed. Anyone encounter the same thing? My car mileage is only at 12k. Shouldn't be worn out brake pads right? Thanks
*
Squeaks are fine, due to thin rust formation that will usually go away in time. This is normal.

However if it screeches then it could be a serious problem.

Thanks for the reply. Is there anyway to remove the squeaking noise? It's quite embarrassing to drive around especially in indoor car park due to the echo sweat.gif

What else? WD-40 of course smile.gif but do not spray on the brake pad, bad idea.

Or if you want more assurance, you can buy specialized spray or grease at any accessories shop, Eneos should have the product.

Yes, but very little. Mind you the purpose of the brake is to stop the wheels.

However I highly recommend you to just wait it out and let wear and tear solve the issue on their own.

WD-40 is to lubricate something, so there is less friction. Braking system is to use friction to stop your car, if u make ur brake system less friction, later ur brake pad cannot grip the disc then susah oledi, summore wd-40 is very high temp resistant. -100 to 500F operating temp.

Any service shop should be OK, as long as properly equipped.

Cost should be around RM50 to RM80 in KL (all tyres).

EcoTint should be a good tint, just to clarify that I was referring to Safetint on my previous post.
*
If anything, I believe Safetint installed by your sales advisor as extra package. Some salesmen does offer buyer for extra tint, on top of Ecotint.

And I believe Preve Premium still with Ecotint.

It will be good if that is the case.
If my Preve Premium has EcoTint installed, I should have EcoTint warranty card, but I do not have that.

Also after I got my car, my SA offer me if I want to add an extra tint on top of the current tint I have. With this offer it sounds like the current tint is only one layer.

I also get an 'offer' to use RM300 voucher for extra tint. I just ditched the voucher away and chosen clarity.

With new JPJ law in place, tints can get quite dark and is still legal.

There is nothing to tweak. If you have Racechip, then you just set to more aggressive mode.

hi all. newbie here. i'm about to buy my first car. have lots of questions in mind:

1. how do you justify paying 10 K extra for the premium variant?
2. am I missing out on a lot of things by choosing exec?
3. does the exec variant got all the sound issues like what you all said from the first page? need input from exec owners.
4. is the push start malfunction a common issue to premium variant?
5. is it true that exec variant will waste petrol in the long run since exec variant have persona engine and heavier body than persona? or is this just a BS that salesman utter so that we would buy the premium?

1. If your budget allows, always go for CFE. There are always moments on road when you really need that extra power.

2. As a CFE owner, it's pretty biased of me to say so, but yes. Totally different driving experience.

3. It won't have all the noise issue, but the infamous chassis issue will likely be there, but it can be fixed either DIY or bring to SC.

4. So far I have never encountered ignition issue.

5. Technically yes.

I think I can afford the CFE version but I'm afraid that I have to pay a lot for maintenance since there are lots of things that can become faulty like for example the push start button. I read from the Internet that CFE tends to be more problematic and might need to stay at SC for extended period of time.
