Any reason you want to replace UOB Vox? Use it once per statement month and you can easily get waived. So far other online cashback cards include CIMB CR (5%), PBB Visa Signature (6%), Ambank True Visa(3%) and Aeon Big Visa (2% + Free PPL access 6x per year)

Care to elaborate more on Ambank True Visa (3%). I search their website didn't say anything about cash back or rewards. blink.gif

Thanks so much for the details. Just finish reading it.
Compare with CIMB Cash Rewards, I think ambank is not so generous.
Haha.. when you ffirst say 3%... I thought is something similar like WATAMI brows.gif but then only realize apply for limited online transaction.

I have both CIMB CR and UOB VOX.
The best one is PBB VS but I'm short of 10k of annual salary to qualify for it, so I just stick to these two for now.

My summary as below:
i) CIMB CR is a free for life card while UOB VOX is not, you will need to spend at least once per month (no minimum amount) to avoid RM 6.00 monthly charges.
ii) CIMB CR has no minimum amount for online transactions in order to be eligible for cash back but VOX requires you to spend at least RM 50 per transaction to be eligible for cash back.
iii) CIMB CR's maximum cash back for online transactions is only RM 30 (that means max spending for online transactions is RM 600) while VOX can be fully maximized at RM 50 (for RM 1k of spending).
iv) CIMB CR's has a fixed date of cash back crediting while UOB VOX is by 30th of following month, usually out around 20s of the month.
v) CIMB CR has cross borders charges (read here) while VOX doesn't have.
vi) CIMB CR's maximum cash back for online transactions is only 5% while UOB VOX is 5.3% (5% - online transactions + 0.3% retail transactions).
vii) CIMB CR doesn't give cash back for flight tickets while UOB VOX gives.
viii) CIMB CR doesn't give cash back for UOBPayOnline transactions while UOB gives (refer to first post of this thread).

For utilities, please refer to point (viii) and you definitely need UOB VOX.

In conclusion, apply both. biggrin.gif

For VOX, there won't be a monthly charge if you used it at least once of any amount. Therefore, no need to call for waiver whatsoever.

For CIMB CR, please read up for more info here at https://forum.lowyat.net/topic/3988506

No need to call. It won't appear at all if you use at least once every statement month.

Erm, I don't understand your question for CIMB CR. Just go over to the CIMB CR thread as suggested by laymank.
It is a good card for online transactions.

1. Annual Income: RM36K to RM60K

2. Free Lifetime Annual Fee: A Must, or easy can get waiver

3. Card required for: Cash Back/Rebate Only, Telco & Utility bills, Uber, Groceries, Petrol/Toll, Retail Online/Offline, etc.

4. Existing credit cards if any: Nil.

5. Looking at CC from: Citibank Cash Back Credit Card & CIMB Cash Rebate Platinum Mastercard

6. Others: Please be specific. Much prefer cashback, reward points can be extra. I don't drive a lot, just take Uber to and from work. I mostly cook at home, only dine out on weekends.

Summary of monthly spending:
Groceries-RM400
Astro-RM300 (pay online)
Uber-RM260
Utilities-RM200 (pay online)
Maxis-RM120 (pay online)
Petrol/Toll-RM100
Others (retail,online,going out weekends etc.)- RM500 - 700
