It seems the HLB Wise Gold is back. I'm still reluctant to apply this card because I cannot achieve what it requires.
Recommendation for Credit Cards V3, Please post according to Format stated.

1. Annual Income: >60k but <100k
2. Free Lifetime Annual Fee: I'm OK if it's waivable or can be waived with easy and achievable conditions. 3. Card required for: Utilities bills, petrol, shopping, groceries (for TnG purpose) and good cash back. 4. Existing credit cards if any: MBB2Cards Plat, CIMB Cash Rebate Plat, HLB MACH, OCBC GE Plat, Aeon Gold, RHB Plat and AmBank Plat. 5. Looking at CC from: Any bank. 6. Others: Must be easy to register its online portal. Actually, I will need recommendations to cancel some of my cards as well. Kinda find them useless. Please advise. I have in mind will be RHB Plat, I only have it for two months now but find it pretty useless as it doesn't have many promotions. Moreover, I applied it was for PPL which actually Aeon Gold and AmBank have covered. Though AmBank has conditions but it's not a difficult task for me especially it's a free for life card and offers unlimited PPL entries, so worth keeping. QUOTE(fly126 @ Jul 18 2015, 01:32 AM) Sis, I think U should Reconsidered UOB 1 Plat. or HSBC Amanah (AF Waiver subject to 12X Swipes Only), again... I had issue applying for UOB online account and I was asked to walk in to the nearest branch to get it fixed. In the end, I didn't manage to register for it and eventually cancelled the card. As for HSBC Amanah, I registered and was told will be given with free tablet or watch which I didn't get it eventually. However, please put it aside besides this, if I'm not wrong it has a fixed management fees every month though I paid in full last time. If you ask me, I would rather pick UOB One Plat rather than HSBC Amanah. Any other choices besides HSBC? I wanna reduce my cards, so that banks won't see me as a high exposure customer. Though I do want to keep all if I have the opportunity, but I'm afraid that I will be rejected for those worthy cards later... Thanks by the way. |

QUOTE(fly126 @ Jul 18 2015, 02:10 AM) As long those CC X have any AF or it's EZ Waiver, It's Worthy to have It ... No. I paid before every month for my HSBC Amanah, of course I paid full every month. Until the day I terminated it with no outstanding, I still got charged and called to scold to them. Then, only reversed the charges for me. Let me find back those posts, I asked before. It's around RM 1.xx every month.Just a Reminder: Actual Management Fee (Islamic Bank) = Credit Card's Interest (Conventional Bank) Both are the Same by Different Name only... If, You Settle Your Outstanding Balance in Full...There will be NO Management Fee (Interest) Charge on YOU... As Just 1 left... Citibank Cash Back Plat. https://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopi...post&p=72746938 Announcement: Revision Of Terms And Conditions, Benefits And Privileges For Citi Cash Back Card And Citi Cash Back Platinum Card Effective 3 August 2015 Source: https://www.citibank.com.my/global_docs/pdf/citicashback.pdf Edit: I found out that it was for BT charges of 1.99%, I took it up for tablet which I didn't get it eventually. OK, I will check out Citibank. This post has been edited by fruitie: Jul 18 2015, 06:53 AM |

QUOTE(xalim @ Jul 18 2015, 11:23 AM) Any good card combination to get highest cash back instead of 1% unlimited ? Aeon Watami? 3% cash rebate every quarter but criteria is to spend at least RM 3k but capped at RM 5k that means you can spend more than 5k but the maximum cash rebate you can get is only RM 150.Alliance Bank You:nique Rebates MasterCard Credit Card? Found out this card can get up to 3% if spend for certain amount All transactions are included except for petrol. |

QUOTE(pedoman @ Jul 21 2015, 07:16 PM) 1. Annual Income: RM50k You made a good choice to go for CIMB Cash Rebate because it has 5% cash back for Lazada and App Store, besides it does have promos for these merchants on top of the 5%. So, please check out the website.2. Free Lifetime Annual Fee: A Must 3. Card required for: Online (lazda, appstore etc), petrol, groceries, movies, tng 4. Existing credit cards if any: MBB 2 Gold 5. Looking at CC from: CIMB cashrebate 6. Others: Prefer cashback than reward points For movies, if you go to TGV, then can stick to your MBB cards. Petrol, groceries, can try MBB Ikhwan and UOB One. |

QUOTE(andyfriends @ Jul 22 2015, 11:41 PM) for public VS - insurance payment etc also entitles for 6%? How is insurance part of these categories: Grocery, Dining and Online purchases? apart from MBB 2 cards, this is the second best cash rebate card? is it safe to apply thru agent such as https://ringgitplus.com/en/credit-card/Publ...-Signature.html Yes, it is a good card. MBB2Cards will be demoted soon, so I will say PBB VS and MBB VS are worth applying if your annual income is >100k. I have never applied from RinggitPlus before but many of the forummers from this section have applied for the sake of free gifts. I think so far quite OK, never really hear any bad complaints. Though I'm a paranoid person, not too comfortable to expose my details to a third party.... |

QUOTE(andyfriends @ Jul 22 2015, 11:51 PM) is time to apply for these 2 cards.. Well, there are UOB One, Maybank Ikhwan and HLB Wise. what if those that are not qualified n yet want petrol rebate, what card should they apply? online purchases include paying utilities bill online? I don't think the utilities bills are part of online purchases unless you use online portal like UOB PayOnline to pay. PBB VS thread has the list: https://forum.lowyat.net/topic/3606285 This post has been edited by fruitie: Jul 23 2015, 12:09 AM |

QUOTE(Kelv @ Jul 23 2015, 10:18 AM) But this is not free unless ..(Subsequent years FREE if spend a min of RM50,000 and above per annum) Well, use for first year first and see if there is better cards. I am also planning to get PB Visa signature for other rebates (too bad doesnt have rebate on petrol). Else, you can try applying UOB One Plat, the AF is easily waived. |

QUOTE(Khrlzmn @ Jul 29 2015, 01:02 PM) It was good previously but it will revise its benefits from 1st August onward. The 5% weekend cash rebate is only applicable for dining via AmEx. Unless you dine a lot during weekends and those places accept AmEx, then MBB2Cards is a better choice. But well, yet it still has 5xTP which gives about 1.25% return. That said, your income is below RM 36k, so you are only allowed to have two issuing banks' cards. So, you have to prioritize your usage. It is better to apply for cards which give you cash back now rather than points. |

QUOTE(Khrlzmn @ Jul 30 2015, 04:18 PM) Usually how long to wait for approval credit card if we register at bank branch?? how long to wait the card arrive if approve?? There is no SOP, so it depends on the bank, branch and even officer that your dealt with. Some can be quick, some can take their own sweet time. Safe to say from application to receiving card, the most is around 1 month time (based on my own experience). |
