Hi, I'm looking for a credit card which offers cash back for my insurance. Pay about RM1k for insurance monthly. Besides HL Essential, any other cards with better cashback?

Please fill items below and then only post so that we are able to recommend you a credit card based on your needs and qualifications

1. Annual Income:60K-100k

2. Free Lifetime Annual Fee: A Must or No only.

3. Card required for: oversea currency for online purchase / airline purchase offer

4. Existing credit cards if any: a lot

5. Looking at CC from:any

6. Others:points or cash back also ok

By filling up the above, then others can make suggestion based on your needs. Actually, if you list out item 3, you yourself would most probably have answered your question above.

If your annual income is 100k then can apply for PBB Visa Signature.

Else stick to CIMB CR for your online purchases and UOB VOX for flight tickets + online purchases.

Check out both CIMB and UOB threads for further information.

1. Annual Income: RM60K to RM100K

2. Free Lifetime Annual Fee: Preferable

3. Card required for: Online purchase. Flight ticket purchase(90% AirAsia & 10% International)

4. Existing credit cards if any: Maybank Ikhwan Visa & Amex Plat

5. Looking at CC from: No preference. Cash Advance is a must.

6. Others: Prefer cashback over points.

Note: I saw Bank Simpanan Nasional(BSN) heavily marketed their CC at my area. Not sure why I couldn't find any discussion regarding BSN CC in LYN. No good?

Yes, nothing interesting on BSN cards except for its not-too-bad Balance Transfer rate.

You are only asking for trouble if you apply CC for cash advance. Interest is counted on daily basis, all the best to you.
None of us here applies a credit card for cash advance purpose, don't work for banks. We apply for convenience and at the same time enjoy some cash back and reward points. Definitely not for cash advance. Also please pay in full all the time.

Good for you. Good luck for that. Hope you will not dig the hole deeper. smile.gif
To answer to your query, all cards have cash advances features but not sure of the interest since it doesn't attract us.

Dining - HLB MACH
Insurance - If it is Great Eastern insurance, then can apply OCBC Great Eastern MasterCard.
Petrol - Maybank Ikhwan MasterCard

If annual salary is RM 36k and below, you can only apply for two issuing banks' cards.

Hi,

1. Annual Income:50K-60k

2. Free Lifetime Annual Fee: Must , or alternatively the one with the lowest minimum spend per month to qualify.

3. Card required for: usually petrol, groceries, toiletries.

4. Existing credit cards if any: currently none .. had Citibank Visa a very long time ago.

5. Looking at CC from: RHB .. but don't like the annual fee

6. Others:points or cash back also ok

Others:
I always pay the monthly bill in full - no rolling.

Also, I want to be able to pay the card bill online from my RHB account.

Appreciate a recommendation. Thanks.

Maybank Ikhwan MasterCard.

Any banks also can be paid with RHB online banking, just use GIRO transfer, RM 0.11. So, it is not an issue at all to make payments to any credit card.
