QUOTE(chiahau @ Feb 17 2016, 09:45 AM) I don't really condone 0% EPP coz people will usually buy things they can't afford with it.... ( I myself is a good example ) But you can always BT to Aeon Watami for 0% for 6 months. EPP mostly available to large local banks - MBB ( easiest to have EPP since most terminals are on MBB ), HLB, PBB and some HSBC if you are lucky. And not to mention, 0% EPP will usually be charged extra by the merchant ( 3~5% surcharge which is illegal btw ) You have to take the effort to complaint, and then wait for the refund. Too much hassle tbh. If can qualify for PBB VS, no need to apply for Aeon dy Oh, not to forget the forex rate from SGD to MYR, too.

Unless you are earning big bucks like 100k PA, then no problem, just go ahead and apply.

Couldn't they just check my EPF or income tax? That is because they want to ensure that u are a good paymaster. If ur CCRIS report shows u have no borrowings, they cant assess whether u will be a good paymaster anot. However, if lets say u have another card or loan for at least 12 months, but ur CCRIS report shows that your repayment damn shit, u will still get rejected. Your EPF statement or income tax only shows ur income, but not ur credibility as a good paymaster. However, I managed to get my clearcard approved last time even when my CCRIS report was empty. My colleagues at that time told me it was because I was working in a bank, theyre somehow more lenient towards bank employees. This post has been edited by lost123: Feb 17 2016, 04:34 PM

Exchange rate is one of it... unless you have savings in malaysia to pay the bills, you might end up losing twice on exchange rate, ie foreign currency -> ringgit -> sing dollar.
